Hi Brandon, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Brandon Martinez is a renowned celebrity hairstylist with over 25 years of experience creating stunning hair transformations in Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, and New York City. Known for his expertise in achieving the perfect California blonde, Brandon has worked with some of the biggest names in the hair industry, including Luis Licari, Bruno & Soonie, Warren Tricomi, and Kim Vo.
Brandon’s career extends beyond the salon chair to on-camera television, where he showcased his talent on Bravo TV’s hit show Blowout and performed numerous hair makeovers on Access Hollywood and NBC’s Biggest Loser. His elite clientele includes billionaires such as Rupert Murdoch and his family, Sergey Brin (co-creator of Google), and former Secretary of the Treasury Steven Mnuchin.
After years of styling for the Red Carpet and working in high-profile salons, Brandon relocated to Hermosa Beach to bring his signature Red Carpet hair to the South Bay. His unique dry-cutting technique effortlessly creates beautiful shapes, while his mastery of balayage delivers eye-popping, natural-looking color.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it was not smooth. Coming form Beverly Hills was competetive and I wasn’t a naturally gifted hairstylist. It took a lot of work and trial and error.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a hairstylist and hair care owner. I specialize in Biotin for hair growth hair products. As a stylist, I specialize in dry cutting and hand painted balayage. Career wise I am most proud of my Allure Directory And W write ups. I am proud of my book that I wrote, Sex, Hair & Billionaires. I am different because my work is un copyable. Being left-handed in my business, I have advantages that right handed hairstylists don’t have. Example: When Jimi Hendrix showed up to London, we was playing a right handed guitar upside down, so he could play it left handed. The sound the guitar got from being played upside down, the way the coil pick ups would deliver the sound through the amp, was completely different than how Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Eric Clapton was playing. Jimi’s sound was unique, my style of hairstyling is unique.
