Today we’d like to introduce you to Sarah DeLeon.
Hi Sarah, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’ve always loved creating. At the age of 15 I was trying to create montages like Alexis Ren and Jay Alvarez. I then got into modeling, starting with small businesses and realized I loved the small business community.
I was always raised to give back and support small businesses in general, so being able to bring a businesses vision to life was a feeling I couldn’t describe.
I went to school for Marketing, Psychology and Child Development. At one point I wanted to open up a daycare but realized, my creativity wasn’t really allowed to flourish, so I wanted to do something else. Content creation has always been a love of mine, and I realized I was doing it unknowingly I’m just posting on Instagram and TikTok and YouTube. It wasn’t until I realized I should do something with my degree by utilizing the psychology and helping companies grow with my creativity. Again, I love to give back so being able to bring that vision of life work companies makes me very happy happy along with making my own social media, grow
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Of course not, life is challenging in itself and I think that’s very beautiful.
I’ve been dealing with an identity crisis of finding my niche and narrowing down on my own social media platform, but I also don’t wanna narrow down and give myself less freedom as to what I wanna post. I post what I want when I want and I love that.
I think the algorithm is constantly changing so you never really know what or how your content is going to do so that’s definitely been a struggle along with figuring out what my audience wants while also wanting to post what I want
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am a model and a creative along with a small business owner. I have my own LLC and I’m starting out my own content creative agency.
SD. Creative 317
I’m proud of myself for finally doing it, one of my biggest fears is failing and I know that that is part of life in general and that’s what helps you grow. I’m proud of myself for allowing my creativity to fuel me and make a living out of it.
What sets me apart from others is that I actually love what I do and I think everybody is on their own timeline and I’m also still figuring everything out. My family themselves have a business so I come from a business background and having that psychology degree, allows me to utilize emotion to adhere to audiences.
Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I have 100% taken risks. The fact that I’m telling myself, I don’t wanna work for anybody and I want to create my own lifestyle on my own business as a risk in itself.
I tell myself I’m funemployed while also having my own business. I believe in myself enough to know that this business is going to do well, and I also believe in manifestation.
I feel like I’ve always been a risk taker and the rebel in my family, and I always think that it’s the risk takers that are the most fun, the most creative, and will do amazing things in life
