Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Clement.
Hi Ashley, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
When I was 16 years old after deep prayer as a woman of faith, I felt convicted that God called me to the entertainment industry. I was in a very small town of Ocala, Florida, where there was no connections for me to pursue that space so I prayed and worked through trials and tribulations, and by the grace of God got to orlando where I got connected with the different sources of performing arts training and private coaches now at the age of 26 I have a Los Angeles agent as well as Florida agents I have participated in two film projects, one currently in theaters named the school duel although my parts may not be in those two films for longer than 5 to 10 minutes it has given me the credits on my résumé needed to move me forward into auditioning for bigger projects. I also volunteer at my local church Storylife ✝️💪🏾🌻 in Apopka, Florida as a Sunday school teacher and various other ministry opportunities. I am a former national American Miss pageant girl who represented her current city, which is Ocoee, Florida and I won the ⭐️talent division for the entire state of Florida and national American Miss and I am currently pursuing my music career as well as a singer songwriter.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It most definitely has not been a smooth road along the way I have dealt with various health situations that were not necessarily my fault, but I took the responsibility for the healing and recovery as well as personal financial struggles growing up with a single mother. I did start my journey at age 16, so I did not have all the resources to immediately launch into the performing arts training world, but do faith prayer and hard work I was able to see doors open step by step.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
All in the journey of getting to my full-time calling up working as a full-time actress and musician I have worked various jobs in my late 20s. I did door-to-door sales for Verizon Internet then I was able to have the opportunity to work from home with a medical company, which has been a blessing.
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
I truly believe that the biggest key to my success outside of my talent and work ethic is my faith I have seen so many talented people try and give up because they could not believe that the promised that was placed in them would be fulfilled. I believe that if God put something inside of you, if you were willing to take the journey through the refiners fire to put in the hard work and the faith that you can accomplish all things.
