Today we’d like to introduce you to Parish Walker.

Parish, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started as a child who loved art and was heavily connect to frequencies. My first love was music but the first art form I chose was actually poetry. To be honest I didn’t even like my voice when I was first starting off and I wasn’t the best at writing songs just yet. To help push me out of my comfort zone I decided to write my own remixes to popular songs and post them. I now have a BFA in Musical Theatre, with my original music on streaming platforms and have had the privileged to open up for some extremely amazing icons like The Wu-Tang Clan.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I have definitely been apart of my own obstacles on this journey. A constant focus on where I thought I should be stopped me from realizing how far I actually had come and although it’s good to know you are capable of more it’s even more important to be present and grateful for the current moment. I’ve lost jobs I dreamed of, I’ve fumbled bags along the road, I’ve lost bonds I thought were for life, been lied on, had loved ones link up with people who try to destroy my character and still show love,I’ve fought myself, fought by my self and fought for myself. Through it all the biggest lessons I’ve learned is you can’t control the narrative but it’s up to You if you let it control you.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an original song writer, singer, rapper, dancer, actor and producer with a side hustle in modeling. I specialize in writing poetry, original songs and also have some ghost writing and screen writing experience. I’m most known for my original song writing and being a well rounded artist who prides myself in executing every art form I have under my belt. Everything I do, I do with passion and care. I’m most proud of my recent EP “Even During Summer” with the amazingly gifted Champagne Aramis. It is an 8 track EP with 6 tracks produced by me. Being able to create with your partner is so special especially when you both allow each other the freedom to just be. Very proud of what we made. “Even During Summer (EP)” available on all your favorite streaming platform. I believe what sets me apart from others is my display of love as strength instead of weakness.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Waking up in the morning to a beautiful day just before the sun fully rises and taking a nice shower then having a warm cup of tea. Going out in nature with some nice wine, a book, fun games and “flowers.” All my bills paid is an unmatched joy, girl maintenance/Spa days make me feel like a princess always. Being in the presence of live music and good food just boosts my energy to the max. DISNEYLAND enough said. I love the calm of a good museum, just serenity surrounded by beautiful art. Last but not least, Praying. It gives me so much peace in my heart and I know I’m not the only one who can attest the FEELING of KNOWING God’s listening. It’s the sweetest thing.
