Today we’d like to introduce you to Eileen Flores.
Hi Eileen, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m a 26-year-old first-generation Latina, a girl mom to a 3-year-old, a student, a creator, and someone who has had to figure it out while life was happening.
I became pregnant at 22 while I was still working toward my bachelor’s degree. During that time, I was raising my daughter, finishing school, and slowly building my passion for content creation. It was not always easy, but becoming a mom gave me a new sense of purpose and pushed me to work even harder.
After finishing my bachelor’s degree, I started my full-time career in advertising while continuing to create content and pursue my master’s degree in Marketing Analytics. This week, I officially graduate from my master’s program, which feels like such a full-circle moment.
Since then, I’ve earned a promotion in my career, continued growing in the advertising industry, and stayed consistent with social media and content creation. I’m also in a season of building myself from the inside out, working on my healing, mindset, health, confidence, and overall growth. Exercise has become a big part of that journey, not just physically, but mentally too.
I also launched my podcast, Becoming Her, Unfiltered, which started after I ended my engagement and began openly sharing that story. A big part of that chapter has been grieving the family I so badly wanted, worked for, and thought I was building.
Through the podcast, I talk about the real and honest parts of motherhood, healing, relationships, co-parenting, and becoming the next version of myself through a lens of psychology, neuroscience, and personal growth.
Recently, I stepped into a new chapter of co-parenting, which has been emotional but has also shaped my voice and my content in a deeper way. My story is really about resilience, motherhood, ambition, healing, and building something meaningful while creating a life I’m proud of, both internally and externally.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely not a smooth road.
One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to build a life while also healing through one. I became pregnant at 22 while still in school, so I had to balance finishing my bachelor’s degree, becoming a mom, working, and figuring out who I was all at the same time.
There were moments where I felt behind, overwhelmed, or like I had to prove that I could still accomplish everything I dreamed of, even though my path looked different. Balancing motherhood, school, content creation, and a full-time advertising career has required a lot of discipline, sacrifice, and resilience.
More recently, I ended my engagement during the last week of October and stepped into a new chapter of co-parenting. That has been one of the hardest emotional challenges I’ve faced. I’ve had to grieve the family I thought I was building while still showing up as a mom, continuing my career, finishing my master’s degree, and creating content around the real parts of growth and healing.
I think one of the hardest parts is feeling that emptiness at times, because I work so hard and I really do wish I had that life partner to share it all with. Being a single mom is hard in ways people do not always see. The five days a week that I have my daughter, I am constantly back to back between motherhood, work, school, content, routines, emotions, and just trying to keep everything moving.
One of the hardest moments was this past Mother’s Day. I went to drop off a Mother’s Day card for my ex mother-in-law, someone who has felt like family to me for years, and unexpectedly walked into them having lunch with my ex and his new girlfriend. It was painful because it felt like I was grieving not only the relationship, but the family, the home, and the place I once had in their lives.
The road has not been easy, but every challenge has shaped me. It has taught me how strong I am, how much I can carry, and how important it is to keep becoming the woman I want to be, both for myself and for my daughter.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I work full-time in advertising as a media planner, where I help build and manage media strategies for automotive clients. My work involves campaign planning, budget management, reporting, competitive analysis, and using data to understand how different audiences engage with media.
What I love most about my career is that it combines creativity and analytics. I get to look at consumer behavior, trends, media performance, and audience insights, then turn that data into a clear strategy. I’m especially proud of growing from an intern to a full-time role, earning a promotion, and continuing to build my career while also completing my master’s degree in Marketing Analytics.
Outside of my corporate career, I’m also the owner of **The Mommy Influencer LLC**, where I create lifestyle, motherhood, and self-growth content. I’m also the host of **Becoming Her, Unfiltered**, my podcast where I talk about motherhood, healing, relationships, co-parenting, psychology, neuroscience, and personal growth.
What I’m most proud of is creating a space that empowers other women going through breakups, healing, motherhood, or co-parenting to know they are not alone. I’m especially proud of the affirmations I write because they help people feel grounded, seen, and reminded of their worth during difficult seasons. I want people to feel seen in the messy parts of life and also understand that psychology, neuroscience, and personal growth tools can help them move through those seasons.
What sets me apart is that I understand both sides of media. I work in advertising professionally, so I understand strategy, performance, and brand goals, but I also create content myself, so I understand storytelling, community, and what actually connects with people online. I bring both the analytical and creative side together, and I think that is what makes my perspective unique.
Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
My biggest advice for anyone just starting out is that consistency is truly the key to success. You do not have to have everything figured out right away, but you do have to keep showing up. Two books that really shaped my mindset were Atomic Habits and The 5AM Club because they taught me that small daily habits, discipline, and how you start your day can completely change the direction of your life.
I also wish I had networked with more intention sooner. Not just meeting people, but actually keeping in touch, checking in, and building real relationships over time. So many opportunities come from the people you genuinely connect with.
On a personal level, I wish I had understood my value as a woman earlier. I wish I had known what I wanted, what my expectations were, and how important it is to understand the dynamics between men and women, especially in relationships. Knowing your worth changes the way you move through life.
I also wish I understood sooner how powerful manifestation can be. Believe, do the work, and let life meet you halfway. The **Let Them Theory** also shaped me because it reminded me that you cannot control how people act, but you can control how you respond, what you allow, and where you place your energy.
Lastly, I wish I had understood neuroscience and psychology earlier because they helped me make sense of my emotions, healing, habits, relationships, and nervous system. Once you understand yourself on a deeper level, you can move through life with so much more clarity and compassion.
