Rising Stars: Meet Kery Jackson of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kery Jackson.

Hi Kery, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I often say my journey started long before I realized it would become a business. I grew up surrounded by women in my family who knew how to create beautiful, welcoming spaces. Hosting wasn’t about perfection, it was about love, intention, and bringing our family together. Those early experiences stayed with me, even as I built a career in education.

For many years, creativity was in the background of my life. I loved flowers, entertaining, and creating thoughtful gatherings, but it wasn’t something I initially pursued professionally. Over time, I felt a pull to explore that creative side more intentionally, and I began writing a blog, hosting small workshops, and experimenting with floral design.

What started as a personal passion slowly grew into something more. I created Blooms & Bubbly as a way to bring people together through floral workshops, and I saw how powerful it was for others to reconnect with their creativity. That experience inspired me to write my book, Hosting for All Seasons, where I share not just ideas, but a philosophy that hosting is about making people feel cared for and creating meaningful moments year-round.

Today, my work is centered around helping others feel confident in their creativity and realize that it’s never too late to bloom.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has definitely had its bumps. Balancing a full-time career while building my small business has not always been easy, and writing Hosting for All Seasons was a completely new experience for me. I had to learn everything from developing a manuscript to navigating the self-publishing process.

But more than anything, the biggest challenge was pushing past self-doubt and truly believing that my ideas were valuable enough to share. There were moments when I questioned whether I should keep going, but I’m so grateful for the encouragement and support of my family and friends who reminded me to stay the course.

That journey taught me resilience, and it reinforced a message I now share with others, it’s never too late to believe in yourself and bring your ideas to life.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My business, Blooms & Bubbly, focuses on floral education, teaching simple, approachable techniques that help people feel confident creating their own arrangements for hosting or everyday life. My workshops are designed to be both educational and restorative, offering a relaxed space for creativity, connection, and self-care.

I also provide florals for private events, host interactive floral bars, and offer consulting and speaking engagements around thoughtful hosting and wellness.

What I am most proud of is the impact, so many people leave feeling inspired, relaxed, and more confident. I am also proud of my book, Hosting for All Seasons, which brings this same philosophy into the home.

What sets me apart is my ability to simplify the process. I believe hosting and floral design can be beautiful without being complicated, and I help people create with confidence and ease.

How do you define success?
I define success as knowing I’ve done my very best and trusting that my best is enough. I’ve always held myself to a high standard and tend to be a bit of a perfectionist, which at times has made it harder to move forward or has added unnecessary pressure.

Over time, I’ve learned the importance of knowing my worth and recognizing that giving my best is success, regardless of the outcome. For me, true success now looks like peace of mind, feeling confident in what I’ve created and how I’ve shown up.
