Community Highlights: Meet Biba + Alyssa Glaser of Be Blyss Wellness

Today we’d like to introduce you to Biba + Alyssa Glaser.

Hi Biba + Alyssa, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Our business story began long before we ever started Be Blyss… it started with our love story.
We met through a mutual friend who brought Alyssa to one of Biba’s sound baths at the wellness center we both worked out of. From the moment we locked eyes, there was a spark…a quiet knowing that something meaningful had just arrived. We kept crossing paths at breathwork sessions, full-moon circles, and community gatherings… until one day we decided to become roommates. (Spoiler: it didn’t stay “just roommates” for long!)

With Alyssa offering coaching and energy work and Biba leading sound baths, joining forces professionally felt natural. What we didn’t expect was that blending our gifts would become the foundation of our greatest love, for each other, and for the work we’re here to do in the world.

Together, we bring over 40 years of combined experience in weddings, sound healing, energy work, advertising, ceremony, human development, and guiding people through life’s biggest transitions. Alyssa’s 20 years in the wedding world bring an intuitive understanding of emotional moments, ritual, and sacred celebration. Biba’s 20+ years in advertising add creativity, storytelling, and the ability to translate spiritual experiences into something accessible, beautiful, and deeply human.

Our relationship keeps us grounded, open, and anchored in the kind of love we hope everyone feels: tender, safe, and deeply belonging. That energy is the heart of Be Blyss.

But it didn’t start there… our first company when we joined forces in 2020 was called Rainbow Zen Den. RZD, as we called it, served it’s purpose as our side business while we both worked full time. We were figuring out who we were as we were building our lives together and developing our story. We knew that we had gifts and desires to spread the healing arts to others in supporting with their individual expansion and we were learning how to work together in a whole new way.

We loved RZD, but knew that something needed to shift in order to expand into our true selves. We were elevating and knew our business needed to as well.

We both expanded by developing our energy healing skills, expanding our sound healing and coaching knowledge, and knew that what we offered was ready for an uplevel.

After months of deliberating to find what was true to us, one day, we came up with our new name…. Be Blyss. After spending years focusing individually and together to live a life of balance and peace, we realized that our nick names Beebs + Lyss could merge to become not only our new company name, but also what we’re meant to share in this world. How fun is that!

Once Be Blyss was born, we worked with “her” energy and knew we wanted to support people with all aspects of their lives – from their own energy healing, to their homes (sanctuaries), to support them during significant transitions in their lives (weddings, breakups, birthdays, baby blessings and more)!

Nature is one of our greatest teachers, and many of our practices draw inspiration from its rhythms: grounding, clearing, flow, softening, stillness, growth, and remembering.

We’re both sensitive souls and big feelers. We care (a lot!) about spreading light, creating community, and helping people become the fullest expression of themselves. We believe that living a life of blyss is every human’s birthright.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Oooiyee. Romantic relationships, in general, bring along their own challenges as you’re presented as mirrors for each other and bring up old wounds. Being in partnership in life and partnership in business truly amplifies that work to a whole new level. The obstacles we thought we bridged in our marriage somehow become new when you’re looking at them from a business lens.

We have had disagreements, taken decisions personally, and felt defeated at times when all we were searching for was creative expression. Through all of this, we have the amazing beauty of being able to work through our challenges to make us stronger as a business, couple, and as individuals.

Besides the human challenges that we’ve faced on a mental and energetic level, we’ve experienced some financial setbacks, health issues, and outside forces that have pushed launches back and delayed initial plans. All of these are exactly what was meant to happen.

We truly believe that every challenge that is presented to us in our life is an opportunity to grow and become more of the women we are meant to be. Our wounds have shown us where we get to heal and how we grow from our life experiences, instead of letting them hinder our way forward.

Each time we have faced a difficult situation, we have come out stronger on the other side, which is why we are so passionate about teaching others to do the same. There is no human existence without challenge, but it’s how we deal with the challenge that dictates how blyssful our lives can truly be.

We’ve been impressed with Be Blyss Wellness, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Be Blyss, we offer vibration-based healing experiences for individuals, couples, and groups seeking balance and support during life’s transitions. Through sound healing, energy work, breathwork, ceremony, and intuitive coaching, we help regulate the nervous system, release what feels heavy, and restore a sense of ease that you can bring into everyday life.

We build custom ceremonies to support individuals and groups in transforming their lives through intentional practices and experience. We offer ceremonies for weddings and life transitions (birthdays, breakups, businesses) and space clearings for new or selling homes, businesses, or organizations. We also have online programs and retreats in the pipeline.

We support humans during some of the most significant times in their lives, creating beautiful memories through connection, release, clearing, and setting intentions for what’s ahead in their lives, homes & relationships. We do this through many practices of connecting the individual to themselves as a deep form of remembrance of who they truly are.

We are known for doing reiki sound baths and home clearings locally and being unique as a queer married couple running a wellness business. We support people of all backgrounds and orientations throughout the Long Beach, Orange County & Los Angeles communities. We are proud to be a family-owned, queer-owned, woman-owned and operated business to create unique experiences for people to connect deeper to their true essence.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
Biba – My favorite childhood memories were when I was living with my parents in Waikiki, Hawaii, from ages 2-6. I remember going to Waikiki Beach almost daily to play in the beautiful ocean, watching the glorious dolphins and whales, and connecting with Mother Nature. I knew as a little girl that I loved connecting with the beauty of this earth. I also knew that I was mature for a young girl and was meant to support people with laughter and hugs. Hawaii is one of my favorite places, and I will forever cherish those moments, as that time shaped me into who I am today.

Alyssa – My favorite childhood memories were going over to my grandparents’ pool during the summer with all my family, gathering for some outdoor fun. We would swim for hours and play volleyball and lawn games. My grandparents would always have some fabulous dessert that they would bring us after hours of outdoor joy. I loved being out in nature, being in the water, surrounded by trees, the sunlight shining down on my face. It was also so much fun to be part of a big family where so many of us would gather week after week. The community of those experiences lights me up every time I think of them.
