Hi Arturo, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My name is Arturo Cuellar from Whittier Ca, I started cutting fair when I was 15 years old, I’m 42 years old now. I learned on my own hair and started getting compliments from friends and teammates on my basketball team. I been licensed for about 15 yrs now and started my business Tradition Barbershop in 2015. We just got our 10yr Anniversary

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Being in business 10 years is a big accomplishment for me and and I take pride in what I built in my community and city of Whittier & La Mirada (Los Angeles County)
We def had a few struggles just like every small business, especially through the pandemic. It force us to build a stronger bond with our client and make them feel like family at Tradition Barbershop. Without them there’s no us

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Tradition Barbershop is a traditional barbershop specializing in Haircuts & Hot Towel shaves. As an independent contractor I learned that being consistent to your business hours and schedule go a long way. Consistency is Key. I think what really set us (Tradition Barbershop) apart from the other local shops is that we have a solid team that take pride in there work and craft for barbering. Even though we are a traditional shop we still continue to study and master our craft with new techniques, hairstyles and trends but still continue to keep tradition alive. We do offer appointments and we always except walk-ins (new clients)
