Meet Mari Davis of Willow & Bloom Co.

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mari Davis.

Mari, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey with product formulation about a decade ago, I spent hours a day doing research and studying tirelessly to learn what all went into making body care products. At the time I was a full-time working mom of 3 so starting a business wasn’t in the cards for me at that exact moment. I would daydream at work jotting down ideas and collections for this business I so badly wanted to start. Fast forward to September 2024, the company I spent 10 years working for decided to close it’s doors with little notice. I was stuck, lost and honestly afraid of what I would do next. I’ve always held a job so this was new territory for me. A couple months after that my family received devastating news that my mother’s health was declining and fast. Once I received that news all of my time went into preparing for her to no longer be here with us. Sadly she passed away December 2024 and I was a wreck. Heavy in my grief I decided it was time to figure out what would ne next for me professionally. I leaned on God fully during this time and felt like he was pushing me to open my business after years of starting and stopping. This was finally the time for it to happen. I discussed plans with my husband and got to work creating new formulas for body care products and perfume. I felt as though a part of my purpose was back, I was getting back into doing what I truly love and have a passion for. We officially opened Willow & Bloom Co. in August of 2025 and it has truly been a blessing to myself and family. God gave me the gift to create, he just needed to remove what was hindering me from opening my company.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
My biggest struggle would have had to be in the early days of Willow & Bloom Co. balancing work and being a mom. There were A LOT of late nights behind the scenes.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Willow & Bloom Co is a body care and perfume company created for those who are obsessed with fragrance. We make some of the best body care products such as scented creams, body oils, extrait parfum, cleansing body scrubs and fine fragrance body mists. My brand focuses on softly layered, wearable fragrances. Gourmand, floral, sophisticated and designed to last on the skin. Each formula is crafted to balance sensory experience with real-life use, combining skin loving oils with phthalate-free fragrance for products that feel as good as they smell.

Willow & Bloom Co is about quiet luxury in the everyday. Our products are designed to be reached for often. Scent should be inspiring and comforting, while also being wearable whether you’re going to work or having a fun day out with your girlfriends. Every scent and formula is created with purpose, so even the smallest moments of self-care feel elevated, personal, and worth slowing down for.

I’m most proud of the quality and feel of the products themselves. From the way the scents wear on the skin to how the formulas absorb, every detail has been carefully considered so the experience feels effortless but still elevated. I want each reader to remember that self-care doesn’t always have to break the bank so we aim to make our products affordable without compromising quality.

What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
Always be ready to pivot. Adaptability and willingness to adjust strategies based on new information are crucial for long-term success. Recognizing when a plan isn’t working and exploring alternatives is key.
