Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Solstice.

Hi Jasmine, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was exhausted, doing all of the things I was supposed to do. Working a corporate job, traveling to conferences around the world, making a decent salary, but I felt hollow. A cog in a wheel. Where was the creativity? The exhaustion I felt was bone-deep and our pathetic one week vacations that we get as Americans was never going to heal me. I didn’t know what to do, I couldn’t quit, I had student loans, a mortgage, bills to pay, I felt so stuck. So for the first time in my life, I prayed. I walked to my window and looked up at the sky and prayed to God and asked for everything I needed to heal. Then I turned and walked away, brushing it off, knowing that what I asked for was impossible. A trip, yoga on the beach, good food, and an extensive amount of time off to allow me to rest, there was no way to make it happen. But somehow, 6 months later I found myself let go from my job with a severance package and ended up on a two year journey around the world. Nothing about the trip was planned ahead of time, I asked the Universe to guide me. I was guided to meet with spiritual guides and awakened ones all over the world and then I ended up at a yoga teacher training course in Bali.

This was the beginning of my awakening, I had traveled without, it was time to travel within. I meditated and studies spiritual texts like the I-Ching while learning all I could about astrology. This process awakened within me my connection to my family lineage of astrology which is said to go all the way back to Johannes Kepler, the astrologer for the Holy Roman Emperors Rudolf II, Matthias, and Ferdinand II in the early 1600s. Each generation of my family has had someone who carried the karma, the connection to this lineage. When I worked in Corporate America, I was turned off to this internal energy but by disconnecting from that world, it freed me to connect to something far greater than myself.

When I give readings, I connect to the Universe. I feel like the things I say may come from me but many times they feel channeled, as if they are coming from somewhere else. It’s the most amazing feeling and I feel truly grateful for it. Astrology is my way of giving back, of helping people to understand better why they are here.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Something that I have been working on is allowing the Universe to guide me one step at a time. We live in a culture that prides ourselves on having a plan and making it happen. People always ask me what my plan is, I think it would make them feel more comfortable if I had one. The truth is at some level I feel that it would make me feel more comfortable too. But that is not my path, and I know that from astrology and my work with the I-Ching. My path is to learn to have faith and allow myself to be guided one step at a time. This allows fate to guide the way. This is a much slower path, but a more lasting one. I know that I could be part of the hustle. It would be easy to start a Youtube channel, tiktok, etc. but in the end, I feel that it would be distraction. I prefer to meditate, be with nature, keep myself centered and grounded and truly trust that those who come to me are those who I am meant to work with. Having faith is not always easy, and doubt is a very difficult feeling to overcome, but then I quiet those negative voices in my head that make me feel fear and doubt and remind myself to trust and have faith, what I need will come when it is meant to.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an astrologer – what does that mean? It means that everyone is born with their own birth chart, as individual as a fingerprint. I work with people to help them understand their karmic path, why they decided to be born here and now. We talk about their karma, the gifts they came into this life with and what they are here to learn. Clients leave our readings feeling clarity about their path in this life. I explain to everyone that in order to understand astrology you have to look at the world as energy. Nikola Tesla said “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy” and that is what astrology shows us. Astrology believes that when something is created it takes on the energy of the Universe in that moment. Everything created has a birth chart – people, companies, marriages, countries, etc. Financial astrologers follow the birth charts of companies, those who want an auspicious date for a marriage ask an astrologer to guide them to be married at a time that will give their marriage the best chance possible. I work with people to look at their karma and give them insight into their own lives. I answer questions such as why am I here and what is my gift?

We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
It’s less about luck and more about faith. To walk a path that is your own requires an immense amount of faith and trust that what is needed will come. Sometimes it comes last minute, and sometimes it’s not what was imagined, but we have to trust that what comes is what is needed. Astrology has been a part of my family for many generations, but it took going on a journey to discover my personal gift and my role in this lineage. I was able to track my own stars to see when messages might come to me and because of that I knew when to pay attention. One day someone offered to pay for a reading, until that point I had only given free readings to friends. It happened on a pivotal day astrologically speaking, and I felt it was the sign I had been waiting for. Since then, one step at as time has guided my path to bring me to where I am today with a steady stream of clients and interview requests. For each one I feel only gratitude. Astrology is my way of service, of helping people understand their own paths and karmic journeys. Every time I can do this, I feel like the luckiest person in the world. I do not wish to be famous, I only wish to help those in need of guidance to see and understand their own karmic journeys. I believe that luck is God’s way of showing us the Universe exists and we are being helped. When something amazing happens, I thank the Universe profusely for the gift and sometimes tears come to my eyes. Its so humbling when you feel like you’ve been graced with the generosity of the Universe.
