Daily Inspiration: Meet Guetcha Tondreau-Liu

Today we’d like to introduce you to Guetcha Tondreau-Liu.

Hi Guetcha, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was born in Haiti and spent the first part of my life there before moving to the United States as a teenager. Growing up between cultures shaped me deeply. I experienced bullying, isolation, and a lot of moments where I had to learn how to build confidence from the inside out. At the same time, I always carried a strong imagination, curiosity, and desire to express myself creatively. Looking back now, I realize those experiences built the resilience and inner strength that would later guide so much of my journey.

My path into modeling happened unexpectedly after someone told me I look like a model. What started as curiosity slowly turned into a career that allowed me to travel the world, work with legendary photographers and global brands, and experience cultures and creative spaces I once could have only imagined. Along the way, I lived and worked through places like Europe, Malaysia, and Moscow, each chapter expanding my perspective not only as a model, but as a human being.

Beneath all the fashion and imagery, I was always searching for something deeper and more meaningful. During the pandemic, I rediscovered a pair of nunchaku that had been sitting in my apartment for years, and what started as curiosity and physical practice slowly became healing, discipline, meditation, confidence, and transformation. That practice eventually evolved into Soul Revolution: Chuck Along, a community-centered movement experience rooted in empowerment, focus, breath, and connection.

Today, I wear many hats: model, movement artist, runway coach, creative, and now realtor alongside my husband. More than anything, I’m passionate about creating experiences that remind people of their strength, humanity, and ability to reinvent themselves no matter where they come from or what they’ve been through.

My story is really about evolution. About learning how to turn pain into purpose, movement into healing, and life’s unexpected chapters into something beautiful.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Definitely not. My path has involved a lot of reinvention, uncertainty, disappointments, and moments where I had to rebuild myself emotionally and professionally.

The modeling industry brought its own challenges. While I’ve had incredible opportunities and worked with amazing creatives around the world, there’s also constant pressure, rejection, comparison, and unpredictability. There were moments where I questioned myself, my worth, and whether I truly fit into certain spaces.

One experience that really tested me was being burned by an IPL device right before a shoot. I still showed up the next day and kept going, even while feeling vulnerable and shaken. That moment reminded me that strength isn’t about pretending everything is perfect. It’s about continuing to move forward through difficult moments.

Starting Soul Revolution: Chuck Along was also a leap of faith. Building something unconventional from the ground up takes courage, especially before people fully understand the vision. Over time, I’ve learned how to trust myself more deeply, create my own opportunities, and turn setbacks into fuel for growth and purpose.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is rooted in creativity, movement, and human connection. While many people initially know me through modeling, what inspires me most is creating experiences that make people feel more present, confident, and connected to themselves.

A large part of my focus right now is building Soul Revolution: Chuck Along, a movement-based community experience centered around rhythm, focus, breath, and empowerment through nunchaku practice. What began as a personal outlet unexpectedly evolved into something that brings people together from very different backgrounds in a meaningful way.

I also work as a runway coach and creative collaborator, helping people tap into confidence, presence, and self-expression both in front of the camera and in everyday life. Beyond that, I recently stepped into real estate, which has opened up another side of my interest in people, lifestyle, design, and community-building.

What connects all of my work is the desire to create something that feels genuine and transformative rather than surface-level. Whether through movement, fashion, coaching, or real estate, I’m ultimately interested in helping people feel seen, empowered, and inspired to evolve.

How can people work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
People can work with me in many ways because my work blends fashion, creativity, storytelling, wellness, and movement through nunchaku practice. I’m open to collaborations involving modeling, runway coaching, brand partnerships, creative campaigns, speaking, community events, and real estate opportunities.

Right now, a major focus for me is continuing to grow Soul Revolution: Chuck Along and expanding the nunchaku movement into larger workshops, retreats, and community spaces rooted in empowerment and connection.

I also recently stepped into real estate alongside my husband, which has been both exciting and humbling. Since I’m still new to the industry, I genuinely appreciate mentorship, guidance, and connections from people who are passionate about the business and community-building.
