Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Pat Lin “MISS DJ BLISS” of Los Angeles

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Pat Lin “MISS DJ BLISS”. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Pat Lin, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What are you most proud of building — that nobody sees?
I’m excited to share that I’ve been cultivating a couple of passion projects. One of my proudest creations is my debut apparel line for DJs and creators, which champions the idea that happiness and fulfillment are already within us. It’s a concept that’s close to my heart, and it’s also tied to my DJ name, MISS DJ BLISS. I’ll be launching the brand and revealing the name of it in February. I’m thrilled to bring this project to my community – it’s a collection of apparel, accessories, and lifestyle products that reflect the power of inner confidence and peace. I’m also working on a social media guidebook for DJs, drawing from my nearly decade-long experience as a strategist in the field. It’s been a labor of love, and I’m excited to empower other DJs with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed.

What’s special about these projects is that they’ve been in the works for the past year and a half, outside of my main roles as a DJ and in social media. It’s been a fulfilling challenge to build something from scratch, and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to share them with others. I’m looking forward to seeing how these two projects will resonate with people to inspire them to tap into their inner strength – that’s the ultimate goal.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Pat Lin, but the dance floor knows me as MISS DJ BLISS. Growing up in Brazil, music was a tool that helped me tap into new feelings and emotions I never knew existed – it deepened my connection with others and became a part of who I am. I’ve been a DJ for 16 years, blending my love for music with my knack for social media as a creator strategist and entrepreneur based in LA. You can also catch me on Pitbull’s Globalization channel weekly, playing mixes that can be heard nationwide. Early 2025, I started a DJ/production duo called BlissFX with my partner Flávia Xexeo – our mission is to make and curate global sounds that fill a gap in today’s music scene.

When I’m not working on music or social media projects, I indulge my curiosity for cultures and cuisines – a pursuit that’s taken me to 21 countries and counting, The intersection of music, food, and human connection is where I find my creative spark.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
The one relationship that’s shaped me the most is the one with myself when I moved to California alone at 14. Leaving Brazil, my family, and everything familiar, I faced a world of unknowns—learning a whole new language from scratch, navigating a different culture, and figuring out life without my parents by my side. What seemed like tiny hurdles at the time—learning English, adapting to new customs, surviving on my own—turned into a deep lesson that I have to become my own best friend. I learned to rely on myself, trust my instincts, and turn challenges into confidence. That inner bond taught me that self‑reliance is the foundation of who I am today, shaping how I view life and how I see my own strength and potential.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Life’s a wild ride, nothing’s permanent, don’t take it too seriously. Rejections are redirections. When in doubt, choose love over fear.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The DJ world often claims the market’s oversaturated – that there’s ‘too many DJs’ or creators competing for attention. But I believe that’s a myth. The truth is, there’s only one you. Your unique perspective, your sound, your approach to music and brand-building… that’s what creates real opportunity. It’s not about outdoing others; it’s about owning your craft and being authentic. That’s what shapes the industry and resonates with audiences.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
My hope is to ignite a spark in fellow DJs and creators, empowering them to unleash their art and share it with the world, unapologetically.
