We’re looking forward to introducing you to Chris Villain. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Chris, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
This may sound a little cliche, but I always start my day with a morning workout! That workout is my version of having coffee in the morning. Afterwards I’m awake and ready for the day!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m an award winning multi-hyphenate in the entertainment industry! Which means, depending on the day, I find myself doing a bunch of different things. Sometimes I’m singing and dancing on a stage, other times I I’m sewing costumes and filming myself in them for social media content, or I could be writing and producing a show!
Currently, I have an episodic show that I’m pitching to industry executives, and the process has been pretty awesome considering the attention the concept has gotten in such a short amount of time!
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
This is interesting because it’s something that I’ve experienced within the last few years. The person who saw me clearly before I could see myself was the legendary director, Mr. Kenny Ortega! He’s been such a powerful and consistent guiding light in my life and I consider him my mentor because of it!
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It my experience, while suffering has obviously been painful, it’s taught me ways to motivate myself that success never could!
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I would hope that my closest friends know how much THEY matter to me. I’m big on loving people and letting them know they’re loved. They would also say I’m very detail oriented and passionate in everything I do!
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Caring. I sometimes find I care too much to the point that it engulfs me. I’d stop caring so much and have way more fun I’m sure
