An Inspired Chat with Alejandra Avalos Carranza of Los Angeles

We recently had the chance to connect with Alejandra Avalos Carranza and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Alejandra , thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A normal day for me is talking to founders and CEO’s globally while also enjoying the process of building a community of entrepreneurs and likeminded people.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alejandra and my brand and company is ACMG Digital. A global digital marketing and PR platform for digital media and social networking. What’s unique about my brand is, the authenticity and value we’ve been able to bring to the table. Especially with new entrepreneurs who need visibility in the media such as interviews and articles. As an immigrant and first woman in my family to obtain financial success, it’s really nice to be able to have this freedom by owning my company and getting to interview big names in business.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I used to be more of a recluse. Many times I saw myself behind the scenes and didn’t want to be seen. I’m definitely a retired people pleaser, but now seeing more of my talents and gifts, I can tell you that society and culture can really mold you into something you’re not. It’s important to stay authentic and clear of your visions no matter what peoples opinions are about you.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes many times. When we lost our brother, in an accident.. I felt it was time to crawl under a rock basically and sink into the abyss of grief.

But I remembered his words of advice, was to keep living life.

Also, impostor syndrome can get to me, at times but overall learning to take breaks, and seeking alone time can really help you grow. Spending time with likeminded people also helped me get back in the horse.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes. What you see is what you get with me. I try not to wear masks, seek validation or approval from the outside world. I only seek validation from myself. I show up as me, and that’s gotten me far in the entrepreneurial world. Especially in business. There’s decisions to me made, so showing up as me is my top priority.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope I’ve inspired at least 1 person in my life. I don’t just focus on wealth building or money. I hope to help people seek purpose and fulfillment. Abundance isn’t only about money, it’s about changing lives and helping the next generation find their purpose and build more leaders. As the world desperately needs it right now.
