We recently had the chance to connect with Andre F. and have shared our conversation below.
Andre, we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Honestly, my priorities are excelling at work, maintaining discipline through fitness, building a strong foundation for my family and future, and continuously improving my photography skills.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
So my name is Andre based out of Los Angeles and Riverside, California. I claim both cities because I tend to work in both areas when it comes to photography. I have been happily married to my beautiful wife for about two and a half years now. I work a full time career in the automotive industry and I have my photography as a passionate side hobby in which I primarily do on the weekends. The first time I picked up a camera was back in June 2018. This month and year is significant to me because I used photography as an outlet to cope with the passing of my father which was the month prior. Photography has been something that gives me a sense of purpose outside of my daily routine. I dabble in a little in a little bit of everything when it comes to styles. Portraits are definitely my area of expertise. I’m currently building creative networks and relationships through a lot of collaborative work. So far the journey has been worthwhile.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
My self discipline. Being able to show up even when my mind and body may say otherwise at times. Putting myself through and succeeding in uncomfortable situations have continued to help me grow in areas of my life that I didn’t possible.
What’s something you changed your mind about after failing hard?
That all things are not meant to be. Even if it was your dream. You can obtain that one thing that you thought you were meant to have, but instead it was just a joyful experience. Simply put, things aren’t always cracked up to what they seem to be.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. Being something different other than who I truly am, is impossible. Trust me, I’ve tried.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
When I’m at home sitting on the couch with my wife. That is the time I can just…be. I don’t have to worry about the pressures of the world, deadlines, or when I simply had a bad day. Our home is my peace. Love you Sweets!
