Today we’d like to introduce you to Elizabeth Kaminski.
Hi Elizabeth , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m a New Jersey–born, California-based photographer working across editorial, lifestyle, and personal storytelling. Inspired by the coast, travel, and the nuances of everyday life, my work is guided by feeling, movement, and quiet connection, creating imagery that feels timeless, intentional, and alive.
With over a decade of professional experience, I am also the founder of The Cachet Creative, a full-service creative media company producing elevated lifestyle content across hospitality, fashion, & beyond. Through my agency, I partner with brands and local businesses throughout Santa Monica, Venice, and Los Angeles, bringing their vision to life through refined social and marketing assets, often collaborating with content creators on campaigns, reviews, and shoots.
Photography is a craft I inherited from my father, and the camera has long been both my safe space and my greatest source of opportunity. As a child, I found my greatest joy in watching him revisit his photo albums, seeing the way he lit up as he told the stories behind each image and relived those moments through feeling. That early perspective shaped my own, instilling a deep appreciation for photography not just as imagery, but as something lasting, tangible pieces of history that hold emotion, memory, and meaning.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Photography is inherently subjective, and for me, it began as a way to see the world in a brighter, more positive light. It was my escape.
As I began working with people and brands, I realized the true impact of what I was creating and the ability to give something meaningful through my lens. Whether it’s a headshot that shapes how someone presents themselves to the world, or helping bring a brand’s vision to life and visually express who they are, I came to understand both the responsibility and the beauty in that role.
One of my biggest challenges has been wanting to do everything and do it well. From editorial to beauty to food, I’ve always felt a pull to master every style. Over time, I’ve come to see that as part of the process. Each shoot is an opportunity to learn, refine, and grow, and I’m always open to that evolution.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a photographer specializing in elevated lifestyle and editorial content.
My work is rooted in capturing feeling and perspective, creating imagery that feels both intentional and alive.
I’ve expanded that into founding The Cachet Creative, where I help brands translate their vision into refined visual storytelling across social and marketing.
I’m most proud of building something that bridges creativity and strategy, while supporting founders and creatives, especially female leaders, in bringing their ideas to life.
What sets me apart is my perspective and attention to detail. I see the world in a more beautiful, intentional way, and I bring that into everything I create.
Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ve found that mentorship and networking come from genuine connection, not forcing it. Instead of focusing on finding a mentor, I focus on surrounding myself with people who inspire me and staying open to learning from everyone I meet.
What’s worked well for me is being consistent, doing strong work, and building real relationships over time. When you approach people with authenticity and curiosity, those connections tend to grow naturally.
