Community Highlights: Meet Christine Xiang of Twinkle Land Pet Memorial

Today we’d like to introduce you to Christine Xiang.

Hi Christine, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Twinkle Land really began with two of my lifelong passions: design and pets, shaped by my time at Art Center College of Design and Babson College. The idea didn’t come to me all at once, though. There were two moments: the first was where the love began, when I adopted a tiny, trembling kitten from an animal rescue shelter, where she was just out of spay surgery. The second was when I started to worry while watching pet parents sitting on the cold floor of a veterinary ER, exhausted and heartbroken, as their dog was receiving treatment. In those scenes, it hit me how unprepared and unsupported we are when it comes to pet loss. That’s when I knew I wanted to build something different—something that honors the immeasurable love we share with our companions, with more compassion and care than what’s out there today. So I started Twinkle Land, a pet memorial brand that designs products to fill that gap, and step by step, that vision has brought us to where we are now.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all. The road along the way was never smooth. One of the biggest challenges we face is handcrafting these pet urns; the micro details we aim to perfect require immense amounts of time and patience. The glaze we created took many tests and failures to perfect, and we constantly strive to differentiate ourselves from others. The only thing I can say is this: the love we have for pets and pet owners is the one thing that has encouraged us to come this far and continue moving into the future.

We’ve been impressed with Twinkle Land Pet Memorial, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Twinkle Land is a Los Angeles–based pet memorial brand founded in 2022 and dedicated to reimagining pet memorials. We believe that every furry baby deserves to be cherished forever, and that goodbyes should feel like warmth, not emptiness. Our creations aim to offer solace in moments of grief, helping to carry its weight and celebrate a bond that never ends. This vision was fully realized with the launch of our first porcelain pet urn collection, POJU, in February 2025, offering a new language of warmth and eternal remembrance for grieving pet owners to store their pets’ ashes.

What sets us apart is our commitment to handmade craftsmanship, hand-painted attention to micro-details, and a distinctive color texture developed through countless tests and failures. On top of that, our custom engraving service allows us to provide premium, 1:1 customer service to our pet owners from start to finish.

We are also proud recipients of the Italy A’ Design Award and the MUSE Design Award.
