Meet Manikandan Chandran of Queen creek

Today we’d like to introduce you to Manikandan Chandran.

Hi Manikandan, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I started my career as a software engineer, working long hours learning full-stack development, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise systems from the ground up.

Over time, I realized I didn’t just want to build features.
I wanted to build solutions that solve real problems.

That mindset led me to work in large-scale logistics and supply chain technology, where I now focus on AI, cloud, and secure systems that support critical transportation networks.

At the same time, I felt a strong pull toward entrepreneurship.
I founded Wincredible Technologies to experiment with AI-driven platforms and digital products that bridge technology and real-world needs.

One of my early ventures was BookMyIyer, a platform that modernized how traditional service bookings could happen online.
It taught me how technology can preserve culture while improving accessibility.

As AI began transforming the industry, I didn’t want to just consume it.
I wanted to understand it deeply and teach it responsibly.

That led me to write the AIronautical Engineering book series — practical guides for engineers who want to move beyond buzzwords and truly understand how AI systems work in production environments.

I also started conducting workshops on AI security, prompt injection risks, and responsible AI adoption, helping students and professionals use these tools safely and effectively.

None of this happened overnight.

There were failed experiments, unfinished prototypes, rejected papers, and ideas that didn’t work.

But each setback sharpened my focus.

Today, my journey is about combining engineering discipline, AI innovation, entrepreneurship, and community education.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Early in my career, I had to constantly prove myself.
Moving into larger systems and enterprise environments meant competing with people who had more experience, stronger networks, and more visibility.

As an immigrant engineer on a work visa, there is also an invisible pressure.
You don’t just think about performance reviews.
You think about stability, timelines, and long-term security.

Entrepreneurship added another layer of challenge.
With Wincredible Technologies and BookMyIyer, I learned quickly that building a product is one thing, but building adoption is something completely different.
There were months of effort that produced little traction.

Workshops and community initiatives bring their own challenges too.
Convincing people that AI security and responsible usage matter is not always easy when everyone is chasing hype.

But every struggle reshaped my mindset.

I learned patience from slow growth.
I learned resilience from rejection.
I learned clarity from failure.

Looking back, the obstacles were not detours.
They were the training ground that shaped who I am today.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I work at the intersection of AI, cloud engineering, and large-scale transportation systems.

In my full-time role, I focus on building secure, reliable, and scalable software systems that support logistics and supply chain operations.
My specialization is in designing production-ready AI systems, cloud-native architectures, and operationally resilient platforms.

Through Wincredible Technologies, I experiment with AI-driven solutions across education, digital platforms, and applied research.
I enjoy turning complex ideas into working systems rather than just presentations or concepts.

I’m also the founder of BookMyIyer, which modernized traditional service booking through technology.
That experience shaped my understanding of how digital systems can improve accessibility while respecting cultural roots.

As an author, I created the AIronautical Engineering book series to simplify AI for engineers.
My goal was to remove the hype and focus on how AI actually integrates into real-world systems.

I regularly conduct workshops on AI security, prompt injection risks, and responsible AI adoption.
I’m known for speaking about practical AI, not theoretical AI.
I focus on guardrails, system discipline, and long-term impact rather than short-term trends.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
Professor R.S. Milton was one of the earliest people who believed in me.
At a time when the college was paying a significant amount to an external company for its website, he trusted me with the responsibility to rebuild and manage it.
That opportunity was not just a technical project.
It was validation.
It showed me that my skills could create real value and reduce unnecessary costs.
That experience gave me confidence to take on bigger challenges later in life.

My current company director, Maruthi, has also played a major role in my growth.
For nearly a decade, I have had the opportunity to work closely with him, travel for projects, and learn how leadership decisions are made.
He believed in my capabilities even before I fully recognized them myself.
That long-term trust and exposure shaped how I think about engineering, responsibility, and strategic impact.

And most importantly, my wife has been my strongest supporter.
Entrepreneurship, writing books, conducting workshops, and pursuing research all involve risk and uncertainty.
She has consistently supported my decisions, even when outcomes were not guaranteed.
Having someone who allows you to take bold steps without fear is a rare gift.

Each of these people gave me something different.
Opportunity.
Trust.
Stability.

Those three pillars made everything else possible.
