Exploring Life & Business with Bethany Myers of Content Social Media Queen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bethany Myers.

Hi Bethany, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I always loved writing, so much so that I chose it as my major in college. I studied at the University of Nevada, Reno and received my bachelor’s degree in creative writing. I wasn’t sure what I’d do with it – just hoped I’d be able to put it to use. I’m so grateful for my experience at the university level because it helped shape me. It taught me to show up, be accountable and not to quit. Even when I accidentally deleted my 40-page english project the day before it was due. I learned how to problem-solve and rise above impossible challenges. After contacting my teacher and explaining the situation, I was granted an extension, and I think my second piece was even more special than the first. This theme of redemption and resilience still follows me to this day. What I’m convinced will absolutely ruin me, actually serves as a catalyst to grow me in unthinkable ways, and often leads me to higher places. Fast forward to 2014, shortly after my fiancé died, I started my business, Content Social Media Queen. The pain of that loss and the emptiness it left behind slowly became the space where new hopes and dreams could take root, eventually growing into what exists today.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think if we are all honest, business is rarely a smooth path. During what should have been a particularly joyful and exciting season in my work, I received notice that a longtime client had filed a lawsuit against me. Although the case was ultimately dismissed, the experience was deeply unsettling and eye opening. It taught me the importance of discernment, clear boundaries, and having thorough legal contracts in place. That challenge ultimately made me a more careful, resilient, and prepared business owner – so for that, I’m thankful.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Content Social Media Queen is a boutique content and strategy agency rooted in intention and true connection. I work primarily with small businesses, entrepreneurs, and service based brands who want their online presence to feel aligned with who they truly are – not forced, trendy, or performative.

I specialize in content strategy, newsletter marketing, and social media that tells a story and builds trust over time. Rather than chasing algorithms or quick wins, my work focuses on consistency, thoughtful messaging, and relationship driven growth. I help clients articulate their voice, clarify their message, and show up online in a way that feels sustainable and honest.

What sets me apart is that I do not treat content as filler or noise. Every post, email, or campaign is created with purpose. I take the time to understand my clients deeply, their values, their audience, and their long term goals, and then translate that into content that resonates on a human level. Many of my clients come to me feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from their marketing, and leave feeling grounded, confident, and proud of what they are putting into the world.

Brand wise, I am most proud of the trust I have built. Content Social Media Queen has grown substantially through referrals and long term relationships, which tells me the work is not just effective, but meaningful. I am proud that my brand stands for integrity and a heart-led business.

What I want readers to know is that my offerings are not one size fits all. I partner with clients who care about quality, clarity, and connection. My services are designed to support brands that want to grow thoughtfully and build something lasting.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next five to ten years, I see the content and marketing industry becoming more human, not less, even as AI continues to advance. Artificial intelligence is already changing how businesses create content, and many clients are experimenting with using AI to write posts, emails, and campaigns more quickly. That trend will only accelerate.

What I am seeing now is a clear divide emerging. Brands that rely solely on AI generated content often struggle with voice, depth, and trust, while brands that use AI as a supportive tool rather than a replacement are able to scale without losing authenticity. The future is not about choosing between AI and human creativity, but learning how to integrate the two wisely.

I believe the biggest shift will be discernment. Audiences are becoming more sophisticated and can immediately sense when content feels generic or disconnected. Story, lived experience, and emotional intelligence will matter more than ever. AI can assist with efficiency, but it cannot replace intuition, nuance, or genuine relationship building.

Another major shift will be a return to owned platforms like newsletters and community based marketing. As algorithms continue to change, businesses will prioritize deeper connections over visibility alone. Trust will become the true currency.

Ultimately, the brands that thrive will be the ones that use technology to support clarity and connection, not to bypass them. The future of this industry belongs to those who can blend innovation with integrity.
