Community Highlights: Meet Lakeisha Mack of I have several

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lakeisha Mack.

Hi Lakeisha , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Lakeisha Mack Doyle is a proud Los Angeles native, devoted mother to her son, Emmanuel, and a respected leader in her community. An accomplished entrepreneur, she has successfully built and sustained several businesses, including a daycare she opened in 2004 that reflects her long-standing commitment to nurturing, education, and family support. Her work is deeply rooted in service, empowerment, and creating opportunities for growth for people of all ages.

In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, Lakeisha is the Director of the Los Angeles Parmelettes Drumline, an organization established in 1970 with Mrs. Taylo, she proudly took over in 1990. Under her leadership, the drumline has remained a powerful outlet for youth development and community engagement. The mission of the Parmelettes Drumline is to instill self-discipline, teamwork, leadership, and integrity while supporting strong community values. Students of all walks of life are encouraged to achieve personal greatness as they use their unique talents and determination to elevate their skills to extraordinary levels of excellence through lessons, recreational activities, parades, celebrity events, and community engagements.

Lakeisha is also the founder of Making Abilities Count with Kindness, an organization dedicated to serving individuals with disabilities and autism through supportive living and independent living services. She also carries a county master agreement, ILS CA CS Credentialing, ECM, CHW, Kaiser contract, and accredited parenting instructor for individuals appointed by the courts and housing development. With many years of experience in this field, her work with individuals with disabilities is more than a profession, it is her passion. Through compassion, advocacy, and hands-on leadership, Lakeisha Mack continues to make a lasting impact by empowering individuals, strengthening families, and uplifting her community.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
the road has been pretty smooth because all of my businesses are my passion. Everyday is always a great day, but because my heart is in it, it’s easier.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Mack Family Day Care – Mack Family Daycare provides year-round Childcare in the Los Angeles Area for infants and children starting at three weeks to 16 years of age. Our secure environments and low caregiver-to-child ratios allow us to get to know your child’s interests and abilities to help maximize their potential. Also serving children with Autism and specialized services.

Los Angeles Pramelettes Drumline is open for enrollment for ages 4 and up, offering team, group and personal lessons. We are also encourage individuals with disabilities and autism to also enroll. Our goal is for involvement in the drum line to obtain self-discipline, teamwork, leadership and maintain integrity along with supporting our community values. We urge each student to achieve personal greatness while they enjoy using their unique talents and determination to increase their skills to extraordinary levels of excellence. Each student will take part in lessons, recreational activities, parades, celebrity events, and community engagements.

Making Abilities Count with Kindness (M.A.C.K.) Supportive Services – At M.A.C.K. Supportive Services, we specialize in Supported Living Services (SLS) for adults with developmental differences. Our goal is to help individuals live safely and confidently in homes they choose, with support tailored to their needs. Our Support Coaches work alongside each person to ensure they have the tools and care needed to live life on their own terms.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
I love Los Angeles! What I do hate is the large population of homelessness.
