Nikkole Hall shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Nikkole, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is a normal day like for you right now?
A typical day for me right now is a mix of creativity and self-care. I usually start with a workout or a walk to get my body and mind in the right place. Then I spend time writing, practicing music, or working on new projects, and I also create content as an influencer, sharing parts of my life and passions with my audience. I like to carve out moments for reading or thinking deeply about ideas that inspire me. Evenings might be for performing, recording, or just winding down with music and reflection. It’s a mix of discipline, creativity, and being present.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Nikkole, a singer-songwriter, influencer, and creative entrepreneur passionate about sharing music, style, and stories that inspire connection. My days are a blend of writing and performing music, creating content that reflects my life and passions, and exploring ideas through reading and reflection. I love fitness and wellness, not just as routines, but as ways to stay centered and energized for all the creative work I do.
What makes my story unique is how I bring together different parts of my life…music, fashion, lifestyle, and storytelling… to create experiences and content that feel authentic and meaningful. I’m always curious, always thinking, and I hope to inspire others to embrace their creativity, care for themselves, and pursue their passions with intention. My brand is an extension of that: thoughtful, fun, and unapologetically me.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I think what breaks the bonds between people is often quiet a missed word, a misunderstanding, or the pride that keeps us from showing up fully for one another. It’s the small things left unsaid, the distance we let grow, that slowly pull us apart.
What restores those bonds, though, is just as quiet, but powerful: presence, honesty, and vulnerability. Showing up with an open heart, really listening, offering forgiveness, and being willing to meet someone where they are…that’s what rebuilds trust and closeness. Love, intention, and care are the glue that reconnects us, often in ways that are subtle, human, and profoundly beautiful.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has a way of teaching you things success never can. It strips everything down, shows you your edges, and makes you face yourself honestly. Through it, I’ve learned patience, resilience, and empathy in ways that applause or accolades never could. It’s in those quiet, difficult moments that I’ve discovered what truly matters…how to create from the heart, how to connect deeply, and how to keep moving forward even when the path isn’t clear.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
One of the biggest lies in this industry is that popularity equals talent. The truth is, hype, algorithms, and trends often overshadow real artistry. Another lie is that success comes overnight…the idea that you just need to ‘go viral’ or post the right thing. The reality is messy, slow, and often invisible: it’s the late nights writing, the practice nobody sees, and the small, authentic connections that actually matter. This industry loves illusions, but real impact comes from persistence, honesty, and refusing to compromise your voice.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope the story people tell about me is that I lived with my heart open…that I created, shared, and connected without holding back. That I chased my passions with courage, stayed true to my voice, and inspired others to do the same. I hope they remember the music, the energy, the thoughtfulness, and the little ways I tried to leave the world a bit brighter than I found it.
