Check Out Daoshing Ni’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Daoshing Ni.

Hi Daoshing , it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I, Daoshing Ni, along with my partner Dr Maoshing Ni started a Chinese Medicine and acupuncture practice around 40 years ago, taking over from my father Dr Hua Ching Ni. We have been blessed with many loyal patients and continue to provide natural healthcare services in Santa Monica and our satellite clinic in Pasadena. Our clinics are Tao of Wellness Santa Monica and Tao of Wellness Pasadena.

Along with our clinics, I have co-founded Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a non-profit accredited acupuncture and Chinese medicine university in the Culver City area. With its low-fee school community clinic, we serve thousands of patients every year.

I have been practicing for 41 years. I have specialized in women’s health and reproductive medicine, while my brother in internal medicine and oncology support. I am thankful to our patients and the community in supporting of our endeavors. you may find more information on our websites. www.taoofwellness.com, www.yosan.edu.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It has never been easy. I must always continue to learn and update myself on the latest changes in both Traditional Chinese Medicine field as well as changes in the Western Medicine field so I can be the best for my patients. Every doctor at our clinic practices and follows the same mission. There are the usual business concerns in managing a practice.

At Yo San University, there is always challenges with trying to find the best faculty and helping our students to be successful and pass the board exams. Education is expensive, therefore we have to fund raise to bring better fiscal balance to our operations at the university.

I am very fortunate that we have loyal patients, and our patient communities have supported both of our clinics and the university.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I specialized in women’s health. I treated many endometriosis patients, and many of them were in a great amount of pain even after operations. I am also known to help women and couples having children. I am most proud to be able to be part of the process of bringing these babies into the world. Now I am also helping my patients go through menopause smoothly and dealing with a plethora of post-menopausal conditions. I am a member of the American Society of Nutrition, the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the Menopause Society.

I have 41 years of clinical experience in this field; my specialty, integrative medicine, sets me apart from other practitioners.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
My team at Tao of Wellness, including all the doctors and my partner Dr Maoshing Ni, supported me all these years. My professors in both Beijing and Nanjing supported and mentored me through my residencies in internal medicine, acupuncture, stroke medicine, hematology, pediatrics, OBGYN, and infectious diseases. My family who stood by me and gave me the time and spiritual support to be the best I can be. My father and mother who helped to get my practice started.
