Today we’d like to introduce you to Roderick Blair, Jr.
Hi Roderick, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my business in 2009 after being laid off from work as a tax accountant. I worked in Beverly Hills and the entire industry was dealing with what was left of the uncertainties of the market/housing crash of 2008. I was studying for an exam at a laundry mat when a neighbor of mine told me about a individual that mentor young men in accounting.

I worked in Beverly Hills and the entire industry was dealing with what was left of the uncertainties of the market/housing crash of 2008. I was studying for an exam at a laundry mat when a neighbor of mine told me about a individual that mentor young men in accounting.
I work with this mentor for from October 2009 to May of 2010. I learned more from him in that short period of time than i did with almost four years of working in the accounting industry. I’d gained enough confidence to step out on my own and I never look back.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It was definitely not a smooth road. I got laid off right before my wedding and I had to make the very difficult call to my financee. We were expecting to enjoy life together at the start of our marriage and the financial hurdles caused a mild case of depression for me. I worked so hard to get to that point in my life wanted to be able to travel the world right away with my wife to be.

I worked so hard to get to that point in my life wanted to be able to travel the world right away with my wife to be.
The only thing i had was confidence in the fact that i didn’t skip any steps along the way. No one could say that gave me a hand out or that i didn’t know my stuff. During this period of time, I was just trying to build a name for myself and show potential clients that they had access to a real professional tax accountant. As my business started to grow my wife faced her own employment uncertainties and if felt unfair (In our minds). We spent the first seven years of our marriage trying to generate some financial stability. As a result of our financial hurdles i spent more time building and sacrificing enjoyment with friends and family. We were able to enjoy life but not at the level we expected to prior to marriage.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
We education our clients and provide them with real options without taking advantage of them.

We do all things tax and tax preparation:
Unfiled Tax Returns, Tax Audits and Appeals, Back Taxes, Liens and Levies, Garnishments and Collections.

We don’t try to take advantage of the public’s ignorance of any particular tax matter.
“I was going through a very stressful situation, and I had interviewed several income tax attorneys and accountants to deal with my case with the IRS. Everyone that I talked to was asking for an enormous amount of money. I ended up hiring an accountant recommended through a friend. But all he did was to delay the situation and kept charging more money. When I met Mr. Blair, he listened and took the time to explain the process that needed to take place. He put my mind at ease. He worked diligently on my case, and within a short time, he resolved my issue with the IRS. I should mention that he did not try to take advantage of the situation. Mr. Blair is an honest, competent, professional, and companionate individual. I am very grateful and thank God every day for putting him in my path. I would highly recommend him to anyone and especially to anyone that is dealing with the IRS. Thank you so much, Mr. Blair.”
We are most proud of the trust we gained from our clients as it means the world to me and that’s my brand (livelihood, my everything and what i live by).
We really care about educating the public on their options and taking the anxiety out of the process (whether dealing with federal or state tax agencies). We’ve gained our trust through real-world interaction with the public. We’ve also gained insight on some of the various challenges people face on a day-to-day basis (We are going on year 17).
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My wife, clients, and family… it’s been a long hard road (I was told that it would get better with time).
