Story & Lesson Highlights with Dani of Los Angeles

We recently had the chance to connect with Dani and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Dani, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Something outside of work that is bringing me joy lately is getting into puzzles! I recently just built and wired together a Beast and Beauty book nook I bought online. My goal has been getting into more hobbies that doesn’t involve my cellphone screen that could then lead me into doom scrolling. It’s been a fun and introspective experience working my brain with no instant gratification. I’m currently working on a 1,000 piece puzzle I just got from Barnes and Noble!

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Dani and I am a psychic medium. I create content by doing psychic readings on Cold Cases and pop culture on my Youtube channel and offer personal readings on my website. I like to find ways of providing insight while also making it fun for people to watch. One thing that has made my readings unique is the accuracy of majority of my readings.

For example over the Summer I did a couple readings on Love Island cast members including the reunion. It gained popularity due to how accurate I was about specific cast members such as Olandria and Chelley and the successful ventures and accomplishments they will have in the future. I have been really focused on Cold Case readings lately, the lack of representation for Black and Brown children particularly girls and women has been concerning. I want to provide as much assistance or insight as possible and I think that is one of the best ways to utilize my gifts for the community.

My goal is to assist with uniting families or bringing answers to families that have waited years to decades for an explanation.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
A moment that really shaped how I see the world was when I was 20 years old and I did a study abroad trip to Torino, Italy. It was my first time ever traveling and I chose a big trip as my first! Getting outside of my bubble from CA showed me just how big the world truly is and how I’m a speck considering the grand scheme of it all. It made me dream of more things I wanted to do, see and accomplish.

Traveling for the first time and living in another country for a month pushed me outside of my comfort zone like never before and made me realize my capabilities and to remove fear from doing some of those things alone. It taught me the world can only give what I’m willing to work for, whether that’s making a temporary sacrifice or pushing through any obstacles that can come up. One of my life dreams was to study abroad, I accomplished it meaning I can accomplish anything that I truly want.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
If I could say one kind thing to my younger self it would be “You are so kind, ambitious and thoughtful. It is not your responsibility to carry everything on your shoulders. You are worth of assistance, grace and convenience. I love you.”

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project that I am committed to (I’m writing it here to really hold me to it and let go of all fears) is publishing my book. I have been writing since I was 10 years old and I plan to work on finishing writing and releasing a book within the next 1-2 years. This has been an ultimate goal of mine and something I will accomplish. Wish me luck!

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am reading. It automatically makes me relax because I’m in the backseat of someone else’s story, mind, decisions and thoughts. Forcing me to be open to how others will approach a situation or what they are willing to do when their back is against the wall. Makes me face beliefs I have in a space where it’s just me and the text. Reading relaxes me and that always brings me peace.
