We recently had the chance to connect with Taryn Luquin and have shared our conversation below.
Good morning Taryn , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Peace- taking a moment to slow down. Taking deep breaths before doing something stimulating. I have worked on the conscious effort of slowing down and appreciating the little basic moments in life
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Taryn, a celebrity spray tan artist and international trainer known for luxury contour tanning. My work has been featured on Bravo TV, the Emmys, and the Oscars. I’ve spent years perfecting techniques that elevate spray tanning into an art form, helping people feel confident and radiant in their own skin.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
God- when i got closer to God i understood how He shaped to be the person I am today. This is exactly what gets me up in the morning and to show up for people around me.
Is there something you miss that no one else knows about?
I miss the good ol days back in the 80’s when things were simple and joyful
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
The trends and misinformation that people believe. Just because you hear something doesn’t mean its true. My advise is to always do research of the information you are consuming especially in the spray tanning industry as a lot of “educators” teach what they think vs what is true.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
I will regret not creating a spray tanning standard that will offer education to spray tan professionals.
