Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Steven Melina of Los Angeles

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Steven Melina. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Steven, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: Who are you learning from right now?
God. 100% God, i’m deeper in my faith now than i’ve ever been and praying consistently to hear his voice has been the true guidance and source of knowledge i’ve been pulling from.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s up everyone my name is Steven Melina i’m a current professional basketball player waiting to sign my next contract overseas. I’m also the owner/founder of Precise Global Enterprises which is a worldwide business development agency that is tied in with my fitness and basketball training business (Precise Training). I’m in the process of developing an online market for Precise Training and just scaling my entire business to a million dollar company by next year. Lastly i’m also half way done writing my first book so be on the lookout for that!

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I think as children we are all so free spirited with no connotation of limitation. Obviously adulting has created and shown me the way the world try’s to put barriers on people but at the same time the reason I grind so hard is so I can show the world it’s possible to live freely if you work hard enough to get there.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Just keep going, the failures are supposed to happen and the only way to lose is if you stop. Trust yourself. Nobody else, Trust YOURSELF, only your intuition can get you to where you need to be.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
1000% Yes. I don’t advertise myself as a character, I use social media as a platform to showcase who I am. Any day out in the world i’m approachable, easy to talk to and will stop whatever i’m doing to make time for others.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
Definitely my creative side, i’ve spent my entire life just portraying myself as an athlete. But there’s so much more to me then just a professional athlete, I have creative passions and visions and am currently using social media to start showcasing that light.
