Meet Mario Lombardo and Tina Pellegrino of Shirts.Dog in Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Mario Lombardo and Tina Pellegrino.

Shirts.Dog is a local Los Angeles company that designs, manufactures, prints and ships customized dog apparel from LA. As a dog lover who owns an apparel printing and design business, it was a natural fit to offer the same service to our four-legged best friends.

All of their dog and people shirts are responsibly cut, sewn and they are printed by their craftsmen with state-of-the-art DTG printers. They’re able to offer amazing deals on their dog shirts as the fabric is recycled from the manufacturing of people shirts.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with shirts.dog – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
What sets us apart from others is that we cut, sew and develop our own unique handmade dog apparel using only the highest quality fabrics. We can print any image on our handmade products with no minimum quantity required. Our customers can upload their picture or design via our website to create a unique, one-of-kind dog shirt, and they can order anywhere from one to one thousand custom shirts. We also offer wholesale programs and can drop ship to meet the needs of customers looking to sell their designs.

One of the coolest things is working with artists, learning their background and their culture and loving the beauty of it. We get the opportunity to work on some fun collaborations and it’s always great to work on a team and create something together.

We give a portion back. It’s never been a question of why to give back, but more of how to give back. From using local fabrics and artists to responsible printing methods, we try to make a smaller “paw print” on the environment wherever we can. We are always looking for emerging artists and causes that align with our passions to help lift up the community and share.

In the aftermath of the Parkland, Florida school shooting, a former student of Stoneman Douglas who now lives in LA approached us. Lindsay Kirschner, an MSD alum and lifelong dog lover, wanted to give back and asked us to print her custom-designed dog shirts to help raise money for a very special cause. 100% of the profits will go to help fund the presence of therapy dogs on the high school’s campus for the remainder of the school year. We also donated over 60 shirts to the organizations whose dogs have brought comfort and healing to the students in Parkland.

We give proceeds to local spay and neuter programs for low-income families with every purchase.

Another important part of shirts.dog is that we find artists and create dog lines with them. Right now, we just got done working with prima lejana (http://www.primalejana.com/) from Spain. She is amazing and a sweet soul. She will always be part of the shirts.dog family. She drew us 4 awesome designs of our dogs and we are selling both dog and human t-shirts for $25 each.

The process of working with artists is always a fun and unique one. To watch their vision come to life on a shirt is exciting for them and fulfilling for us.

Collaborations are at the heart of what we do and the artist always makes a profit from each design sold.

Shirts.dog is committed to helping you design your own t-shirt line for dogs.

In addition to commissioning local artists, shirts.dog have an in-house design team. We encourage our customers to share their ideas with us.
