We recently had the chance to connect with Elizabeth April and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Elizabeth, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Right now, I feel as though I am walking and wandering simultaneously. I feel clearly anchoring in my mission and yet without a clue as to how I’m going to get there. I guess another way to define walking and wandering would be free will verses destiny. When we walk definantly, we understand and choose where we are going with clarity and purpose. However, when we step back and trust the process without the need for control, we begin to wander and listen to direction of our destiny. I don’t believe either way of being is better then the other, both are necessary in order to get the most out of living. In life I have chosen one more then the other at times, but currently, I am choosing both.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hey! I’m Elizabeth April, a spiritual teacher, truth seeker, and remote viewer who helps people wake up to who they really are.
My work is all about bridging the gap between the physical and the metaphysical, helping you understand your energy, your purpose, and your power in a really grounded, human way. I started this journey because I’ve always been curious about what’s beyond what we can see, and over the years, it’s grown into a beautiful global community of like-minded souls who are all doing the inner work to create outer change.
What makes my brand unique is that it’s not about being “perfectly spiritual.” It’s about being real, messy, emotional, human, while still expanding your consciousness and remembering that you are so much more than your story.
Right now, I’m focusing a lot on topics like spiritual anxiety, emotional healing, and how to stay conscious in an unconscious world. It’s such an exciting time to be alive, and I love helping people navigate that awakening process with a little more clarity, humor, and compassion.
At the end of the day, my mission is pretty simple: to remind you that you are the creator of your reality and you’re so much more powerful than you think.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve struggled my whole life with who I am and who the world expects me to be. I think everyone has that struggle and we just don’t talk about it enough. For me, I knew from a young age I wanted to help the world. When I was 6 I decided to become a nun, maybe by talking with God I could help the world. Then I realized not too long after that religion had its limitations and church isn’t our only vessel for connection. In my teen and early adult ears I figured if I was going to make a positive impact I would have to change the system. So of course I began studying to become a lawyer thinking the best way to change the system was from the inside… Shortly after my first year of Political Science in University I realized that once again being in the system had its limitations. It was through these disappointments where I began to understand that the only way to change anything is from existing outside of it. I realized that it wasn’t about how the world wanted to see me, it was about how I wanted to show up. Which of course, isn’t an easy path. When you show up as something no one has ever seen before it can be triggering, and simultaneously profoundly transformative. I’m proud I get to show up as me everyday without anyone else dictating my time or energy, except for my toddler that is, he rules my life and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
When did you last change your mind about something important?
Recently I was plagued by anxiety. Every waking and sleeping moment was just one trigger away from a full blown panic attack. I fought it with distractions like overeating, endless scrolling or exercise. It took me months to finally realize I had to stop and listen to it. Once I did, I knew exactly why I avoided it. My anxiety was telling me that something in my life was no longer aligned to my highest path. I didn’t want to believe it but everytime I ignored it and kept choosing the wrong things, the anxiety would come back. Anxiety turned my attention to my life and happiness. It made me question everything. After deep diving I realized I needed to make some serious changes. I had to make foundational changes, emotional changes, cognitive changes and daily changes. The worst part is that the changes I made upset other people, but it created the happiness I was lacking. I had to choose myself over others… possibly for the first time in my life and it sucked. If you’re sitting there reading this now, suffering from anxiety, I suggest you stop scrolling and start reflecting. Anxiety is a messenger not an enemy. Listen to it because it’s wisdom can guide you into some incredible places.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
I’m not sure if this could be considered a “cultural value” but I believe in this deeply and would love to share my thoughts. I believe everyone on this planet is equal. No matter what language, what age, what culture, or what economic status someone has, we are all the same. Not just as physical humans, but as souls inhabiting a body. When I observe society, all I see is division. Division around the world, division in this country and even division within ourselves. If everyone knew what they were capable of, if everyone believed in themselves as a contributing member in manifesting this collective reality… then the world would be a different place. I will protect equality for all, with everything I have in this life.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think that people look at me and my mission, and believe that my legacy is the information I bring forward to help with humanities evolution, and it’s not. The information I can gather as a remote viewer is not special or unique or something unattainable. I’ve always said that one day I hope to be out of a job because everyone can gain access to the same information I have. My legacy isn’t my mission or books or information, it’s the way I show up everyday for others and myself. It’s the smile I give to a passing stranger in hopes that they carry that on. My legacy sits with my son Bodhi and how I’ve shared my light with him in hopes he passes that on in small ways in his life. My legacy truly has nothing to do with me at all. We are in this together, and one day I hope to see everyone taking that extra moment to share a smile or give a kind gesture.
