Alfiya Glow shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Alfiya, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I’d say integrity, without question. To me, integrity is the foundation of everything else. When someone operates from integrity, it automatically reflects their level of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and even spiritual growth. You can have all the intelligence or energy in the world, but without integrity, those qualities can easily go in the wrong direction. Integrity shows me who someone truly is, how they show up when no one’s watching, and that tells me everything I need to know about their character and values.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Alfiya Glow, I’m an award-winning electric violinist, music producer, and DJ based in LA. My artistry blends live violin with electronic music, creating immersive experiences that move both the body and the soul. I’ve performed everywhere from Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center to global festivals like Electric Forest, as well as luxury events for brands like Ferrari, Louis Vuitton, and the Ritz-Carlton.
Beyond performing, I spend a lot of time in the studio working on new original music. I love exploring how sound can shift energy.
My newest project is called Magnetic Artist Method™, it’s a course I created for artists who want to experience what I call ‘nervous system-safe success.’ It’s all about creating from overflow rather than hustle, building a career that feels aligned, sustainable, and truly fulfilling.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My mom. She saw something in me long before I could see it in myself. Growing up in the Soviet Union, we didn’t have much, there were times when we barely had food but she always believed in my gift and encouraged my dreams. Even in those difficult circumstances, she made me feel like anything was possible. That belief became the foundation for everything I do today.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
Suffering has been one of my greatest teachers. It’s an essential part of expansion, both as a human being and as a soul. When we allow it to be, suffering becomes a catalyst for immense growth. It teaches strength, wisdom, compassion, and resilience. The key is not to let it harden you, but to let it become medicine.
I’ve experienced many difficult moments in my life, and as painful as they were, I’m deeply grateful for them. Those experiences shaped me into who I am, a more grounded, compassionate, and brave person. They expanded me into the artist and human I am today, someone who’s more open-hearted, yet truly unfuckwithable.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
I think one of the biggest lies in our industry is that we have to constantly chase, chase opportunities, chase algorithms, chase each other. There’s this illusion that competition and overexposure are the only ways to succeed, and that pressure often disconnects artists from their true creative essence.
When we start creating from that place of comparison and urgency, the art gets lost in the noise. I really believe the most powerful work comes from alignment, not from chasing. When we create from overflow instead of survival, the world can actually feel the truth in what we do.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m absolutely doing what I was born to do. In the early stages of my journey, as a student and classical musician, I followed the rules and expectations, doing what I thought I was supposed to do. But over time, I began to listen to my own inner voice and trust where my soul was guiding me. Now, everything I create feels aligned with my true purpose.
