We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brenda Ferrell. Check out our conversation below.
Brenda , we’re thrilled to have you with us today. Before we jump into your intro and the heart of the interview, let’s start with a bit of an ice breaker: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are all about grounding myself and setting the tone. I usually wake up around 7 or 8, open my blinds for natural light, and start with a big glass of water with lemon before anything else. I take a few deep breaths or do some light stretching, it helps me wake up calmly instead of rushing into work mode.
After that, I move into my self-care routine: skincare, an ice roller if I’m feeling puffy, and a little time to sip coffee while I set intentions for the day. I like to keep mornings peaceful and phone-free for a bit.
Then I’ll do a workout, something like Pilates, resistance bands, or a quick walk to get my energy flowing. From there, I shower, get ready, and do a natural glam look that makes me feel confident but effortless. I’ll grab a simple high-protein breakfast, check my client schedule, and go over my top priorities. By then, I’m fully in work mode, focused, glowing, and ready to take on the day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Brenda Ferrell, a professional hair and makeup artist with over 15 years in the beauty industry and owner of B Ready Beauty Salon & B Ready Mobile — a luxury Sprinter van beauty studio. I created it to bring salon-quality glam directly to clients — whether it’s for TV, events, or everyday confidence. My brand is all about convenience without compromise, empowering people to look and feel their best anywhere. Right now, I’m focused on expanding the mobile experience and inspiring other artists to build beauty businesses that fit their lifestyle.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My brother Charlie. He saw something in me before I ever did , he told me I’d be great at doing hair and becoming a cosmetologist long before I even realized it was possible.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell my younger self to trust the process, everything you’re dreaming of is coming, and the struggles are shaping you into the strong, confident woman you’re meant to be. Keep believing in yourself, even when you can’t see the full picture yet.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire my mother the most. She raised five kids on her own and worked tirelessly to give us everything we needed. Her character is selfless, strong, and full of love, she taught me what true dedication and resilience look like.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Yes, absolutely. I give everything my best and do not need praise, because I believe God is always watching. Everything I do comes from the heart and is for Him, not for people’s approval.
