We recently had the chance to connect with Wustin and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Wustin, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
While intelligence and energy are valuable, integrity is the most important quality because it builds trust and ensures that intelligence and energy are used for good rather than harm. Integrity is a fundamental moral compass that guides actions and fosters reliable, ethical behavior, making it the essential foundation for trust and long-term success in both personal and professional relationships
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! My name is Austin or Wustin cause all I do is take W’s. I’m an American producer from Bakersfield California. I’m apart of the Synergy collective, a group of underground rappers and producers. I produce beats for artist and make instrumental’s for streaming platforms. I have a collection of albums and mixtapes out on all platforms to showcase my talents in hopes to gain an audience
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Bonds break due to negative communication patterns like criticism, contempt, defensiveness, and stonewalling, lack of communication, and unresolved conflicts. They are restored through open and honest communication, showing appreciation and gratitude, engaging in quality time together, active listening, taking responsibility and asking for forgiveness, and offering genuine empathy and acceptance.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There has been plenty of time’s I almost gave up, but I chose to keep pushing toward greatness. Sometimes weeks on end I would get beat block where I didn’t have the drive to make music. I had to fight through self-doubts to accomplish my goals, not just for myself, but to make my loved ones proud. Self doubting myself just because I was taking longer to achieve things, but time waits for no one . I decided to use my full potential to be able to accomplish everything I desire.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. How do you differentiate between fads and real foundational shifts?
A fad is loud but short lived… It grabs attention, but it doesn’t hold weight once the hype dies down. A foundational shift has staying power; it changes how people think, create, or connect. The way I tell the difference is by looking at impact over time
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. How do you know when you’re out of your depth?
You know you’re out of your depth when you lack the necessary knowledge, skills, or experience to effectively handle a situation. leading to feelings of being overwhelmed, confused, or unable to make progress.
