Meet Alysha Bibi of Pasadena

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alysha Bibi.

Alysha, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’ve always been drawn to the outdoors and to building connections—whether that’s with people, animals, or nature. I spent almost a decade working in outdoor education, teaching everything from marine biology on Catalina Island to cultural immersion programs abroad. Those years really shaped my love for helping others build confidence and find joy outside.

More recently, I became a full-time caregiver for my great-aunt. That role deepened my patience, empathy, and ability to show up consistently for others, which I carry into everything I do. During that time, I also adopted two dogs, and they reminded me how much purpose and balance animals bring to our lives.

Stay Wild Pack Hikes grew out of that combination—my professional background in leading safe, engaging experiences outdoors, my caregiving skills of nurturing and supporting, and my love for dogs. It’s become a way to blend all of those parts of myself into a service that not only gives dogs the exercise and structure they need, but also brings joy and peace of mind to their owners

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. Balancing my role as a full-time caregiver while building Stay Wild Pack Hikes has been one of the biggest challenges. Caregiving can be emotionally and physically demanding, and at times it’s left me feeling isolated. But it also taught me patience, adaptability, and how to find strength even on hard days.

Another challenge has been starting a small business from the ground up—figuring out everything from scheduling to client communication to making sure each dog is safe and supported. There were moments of trial and error, but those struggles pushed me to refine my systems and lean on the skills I gained from outdoor education, where leading groups in unpredictable environments taught me to stay calm, flexible, and solution-oriented.

Looking back, the challenges shaped the business into what it is today. They reminded me that growth often happens in the tough seasons, and that’s given me a deeper appreciation for the community and the joy I get from this work

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
At Stay Wild Pack Hikes, I focus on safe, structured, leashed pack hikes where dogs get the exercise, enrichment, and socialization they need in a calm, balanced way. I draw on my background in outdoor education—nearly a decade of leading groups in nature—to keep dogs safe, engaged, and supported on the trail. My caregiving role has also shaped me into someone with a lot of patience and empathy, which both the dogs and their owners pick up on.

Outside of pack hikes, I’m also a silversmith and run Stay Wild Silversmithing Co. Creating jewelry is another outlet for me—it’s where I get to slow down, work with my hands, and design something lasting and unique. I think what connects both sides of my work is care and intention: whether I’m guiding dogs, supporting clients, or making a piece of jewelry, I’m creating experiences and things that are thoughtful, grounded, and meaningful.

I’m proud that I’ve been able to weave all these parts of my life together into work that feels authentic. What sets me apart is that combination of skills—leadership from outdoor education, compassion from caregiving, creativity from silversmithing, and a true love for animals and nature

What does success mean to you?
For me, success isn’t just about numbers or growth—it’s about creating a life and work that feel aligned with my values
