Hi Foreign , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
The most recent moment was becoming a father. It’s honestly been the greatest gift I could have ever receive.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
What’s up world! I go by Foreign Angel. I’m a music artist/producer/designer from Indianapolis, IN. I’m the owner of Heaven Is Beyond The Hills Productions now based between NYC and Los Angeles. I’m just making this dream happen one day at a time while still enjoying the journey.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
It’s crazy because I felt like the world told me who I had to be fresh out the womb. Music & art has been my calling from day one. I started playing instruments as young as 2 years old, by the time I was 8years old I was playing drums for my church, and by 11 years old I was already fully producing music. So I feel like the universe let me know early on who I was going to be and I just naturally listened and followed my calling.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Man, all the time. I feel like if you don’t feel like you want to quit at times then you’re either not pushing yourself beyond your limits.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
I feel like the biggest lie is that you have to fit a certain mold to be an artist and that’s not the case at all. The key to success in this industry is authenticity and originality. Those two things alone will take you extremely far and set you apart from everyone else so that you can carve out your own lane. In general just make sure that you’re being a positive influence and leading the people right and the universe will bless you in return.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Love is the only answer to all worldly issues and I’m doing my part to be that positive light and healer that I was created to be.
