Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Tasveer Badal of Koreatown

Tasveer Badal shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Hi Tasveer, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: When have you felt most loved—and did you believe you deserved it?
In order to feel love I believe you have to give it earnestly so to be
able to witness my Daughter in her happiest moments.

Absolutely, a gift or a lesson from God is not to be questioned, just felt.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
We are a global movement inspired by the new life found post addiction, prioritizing water consumption over alcohol.

Created to raise awareness around all types of addiction and addiction recovery, specifically alcohol.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Lack of empathy and selflessness awareness.

Healthy communication, empathy and understanding of all perspectives bridges all gaps and shows us that we are more alike than we are different.

Our brand Alka-Holic strives to reinforce these similarities so we can all win together.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Definitely.

One person can only do so much.

This is why building a community is so important, you have to find the people who breathe life into you.

We call it ‘even energy exchange’.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
For the most part yes.

I strive to be as authentic as possible, you only get one first impression.

Make it count.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
Life is temporary.

We are here to love, build and grow.

Destruction of others is a destruction of self.
