john arthur bigham shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
john arthur, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. Are you walking a path—or wandering?
i’m walking a path.i was put here to help bring joy to the world thru music and entertainment.i have tried to do other things but it always leads back to music
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
hey i’m john arthur bigham, i’m originally from chicago, ill.i play a special brand of soul and blues that i have developed over many years of touring and sessions with a variety of very eclectic artists from jazz to punk rock.i learned from some of the best how to be a original and unique performer/artist.my songs come straight from the dirt.i only do this because i was born to do this.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
i was always unique and everyone i’ve come across gave me full encouragement to be myself.i’m a left handed pisces with everything that comes with being a right brain thinker and dreamer
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
when i was a child,if i ever felt sad or scared it was always music that helped me forget my problems.i still remember a dream i had to Wilson Pickett’s “midnight hour” i was about 5.i just remember an army of marching frogs it felt magical.then i woke up and i realized it was the radio but i was amazed how it was in my dreams.i think was hooked at that point.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
the public version of me is multi faceted but it’s all me.i’m quiet with strangers and fun with my friends.if i spot someone more reserved than me i try
to help them by talking to them.but i can be very icy as well with unwanted attention.i’m just trying to be around cool and people cool vibes
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
i feel the most at peace being at home on a quiet sunday night watching a movie
