Hi Tori, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do you think others are secretly struggling with—but never say?
I believe a lot of people are secretly struggling with comparison, especially on social media. It’s easy to fall into the trap of measuring your worth by the number of comments you get, who likes your post, and seeing others “have it all together.” We are all human and have felt these feelings, even myself. The best advice I can give is that everyone is on their own journey and timeline. Stay true and be patient with yours.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Tori B.. a beauty and cooking content creator passionate about sharing my skills and creativity with the world. On my platforms, @iamtoribofficial and @toribcooks, I offer a blend of beauty tutorials and cooking tips, helping my followers feel confident in their beauty routines and inspired to try new recipes. Whether it’s perfecting a makeup look or whipping up a delicious dish, I aim to make every tutorial accessible and fun.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
God saw me clearly before l could see myself. I am fearfully and wonderfully made by him, and what a joy that is.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There has honestly been multiple times out of my six year creative journey I almost gave up. l did not understand why my career was not taking off as quickly as l wanted it too.. Spending money I didn’t always have on gear, tools, products. l was putting the work in, waking up early to film, edit and the list goes on. What kept me going, and still is keeping me going is God. There is honestly a fire in me that won’t let me quit.
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
A project that l am committed to is myself, l call it the “Tori B Project”. Healing, growing and evolving is what l think about every single day.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I am 100% doing what I was born to do. I’m grateful to have supportive parents who allow me to create and explore without pressuring me to do things I don’t want to do. Of course, there are always suggested backup plans, but I am extremely confident that my gifts will take me to places I’ve dreamed of—and even beyond that.
