Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with Analisa SIx of Hollywood

Analisa SIx shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Analisa, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My two dogs Bam Bam and Cosmo bring me all the joy in the world.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Analisa, for the past 10 years I have been a professional dog walker and trainer for my business Ruff N’ Tuff Dogs, and for 8 years a professional Tarot reader and Astrologer. I am also a musician and have a new EP coming out later this year that I recorded in Boston at Plaid Dog recording studios with Ryan Gallegher.
I currently live in Los Angeles with my two dogs

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
Both sides of my family have been highly influential in teaching me about work ethic and the various ways you can set up your life for success. My grandparents were all teachers, but my parents are all self made with very different approaches to how they work. My dad is a professional DJ and has most of the year off, able to travel and do what he wants, whereas my Mom and step dad run a multi farrier business and work almost every day of the week. Everyone in my family has been successful in their own way and has shown me its not really how many days a week you work, its whether or not you are fulfilled by what you do and living a life that is in alignment with what you feel called to.
I have seen a lot of different ways you can approach life and I have been supported in doing things that are unconventional which has shaped me into someone with a lot of various skills, a strong work ethic, and a unique approach to how I see life.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Listen to your heart and don’t let other peoples doubts or fears influence you.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What do you believe is true but cannot prove?
As someone who works with spiritual energy in everything I do, I have an extremely strong intuition that I often cannot prove in situations with other people that sometimes creates tension when I know I need to go with my gut feelings vs what may make sense to someone else. I have learned the hard way that listening to myself regardless of whether or not it makes sense to others is more important than self abandoning for the sake of making people comfortable.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop worrying about working so much and focus on traveling, family, and new experiences.
