We’re looking forward to introducing you to Christian Zezza. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Christian, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Although qualities like intelligence and integrity are fundamental pillars in all areas of life—whether in career or relationships—I believe that having a solid base of energy, both physical and mental, is what truly forms the foundation for building the life you want.
Without energy, or when facing physical or mental constraints, it becomes nearly impossible to take meaningful action in any direction.
Don’t get me wrong—intelligence and integrity are incredibly important values. But even if you find yourself lacking in one of those areas, you can often lean on others—whether family members, close friends, or collaborators—for guidance and mentorship to help you grow and improve as a human being.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a guitarist, producer-composer, and music educator with over 20 years of experience in the music industry.
I graduated in contemporary guitar and music harmony from the Academy of Music in my hometown of Modena, Italy, and later completed a certified guitar program at Musicians Institute in Hollywood, CA.
As a guitarist, I have toured and recorded with hundreds of artists across Italy, Europe, and the U.S. I’ve also worked as a demonstrator for major international musical instrument companies, in addition to pursuing my career as a solo artist. My guitar recordings have been featured in prestigious international theatrical productions, including the worldwide touring musical The Portrait of Dorian Gray, a Pierre Cardin production.
I’ve been featured in several prominent international music events, conventions, press conferences, and competitions, consistently playing a key role in high-profile projects and collaborations.
My primary creative focus is composing and producing music for TV, film, and media. I’ve partnered with some of the world’s leading music publishing companies to provide exclusive, custom music for film, television, and broadcast. My compositions have been featured in popular reality TV shows and major networks including National Geographic, Disney Channel, and Fox Sports, and have been distributed in more than 40 countries.
I’ve received multiple awards from international music and film organizations, such as the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, Intercontinental Music Awards, Oniros Film Festival, TMA Awards, Akademia Music Awards, The Thing in the Basement Horror Fest, and many more.
As a music educator, I worked full-time in various music academies for several years before shifting my focus to digital education. I am the author of four educational books and seven instructional video courses covering a wide range of musical subjects.
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
My relationship with making mistakes and the need to please others are probably the two main areas where I feel different these days. I’ve come to see that making mistakes is part of the journey—and most of the time, they lead to new opportunities and open doors you never imagined possible.
The obsessive need to please others, in a similar way, can become a barrier to expressing your true self. But once you experience that shift—when you free yourself from those mental limitations—that’s when the real magic starts to happen, and you begin to unlock your full potential.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I would say not really, and I’m very grateful to be the kind of person who possesses a strong sense of determination, focus, and resilience. I believe these are qualities that can truly help during moments of self-doubt in life.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Respect, loyalty, and the power of unconditional love.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. Are you doing what you were born to do—or what you were told to do?
I’m fortunate enough to be able to answer this question with a big yes: I am doing what I truly feel I was born to do. By saying that, I don’t mean to sound egotistical—I’m simply referring to that deep sense of fulfillment which, in my case, comes from creativity. More specifically, it’s in the realm of music, as a natural form of communication that feels inseparable from who I am.
