Austin Windom of L.A on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Austin Windom and have shared our conversation below.

Good morning Austin, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
I’d say I’m definitely walking a path. Music has given me direction, and every step I take—whether it’s writing, producing, or even balancing my work life—is part of a bigger vision I see for myself. I’m not just moving aimlessly; I’m laying the foundation for a higher quality of life, both personally and professionally. The path I’m on with my music is intentional, it’s a journey to grow through and it keeps me grounded while pushing me toward the future I want to create.”

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
“My name is AUS10. I’m a recording artist/rapper, and the founder of Official Capital L.L.C. Right now, I’m focused on sharing my latest body of work, my album AUSTRONOMICAL, which is available now for pre-order on iTunes and officially releasing on all platforms August 29.”

Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Years ago, as I was undergoing a process of personal development and character building I would read books such as Rich dad poor dad, such as seven habits of highly effective people or The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, for example. Which gave me a pretty good start on seeing the world through different perspectives and not only those three books, but tons of high quality lectures I’ve listened to has helped shape how I see the world and navigate through it with poise & confidence.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re AUSTRONOMICAL kid!!!

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely. From those that I’ve worked with such as photographers or videographers over the years I’ve shown nothing but respect and integrity in public on stage and anywhere I go. I’m Austronomically authentic.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
When all the bills are paid. I’m fresh out the shower. I have candles lit. It’s starting to get dark outside. There’s a calm breeze. AC is on. LED lights around the crib. I can see the sky through the windows. Movie is on the screen and I got some fine shii beside me and she wants all my attention.
