Hi DJ, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What do you think is misunderstood about your business?
One of the biggest misconceptions about being a DJ is that we just push buttons. People sometimes think the job is as simple as hitting play, or they’ll hand over a playlist of 200 songs and expect them to be played back-to-back. What’s often overlooked is the skill, timing, and intuition that goes into reading a crowd, curating the right vibe, and creating seamless transitions that keep the energy flowing. A great DJ isn’t just playing music — we’re building an experience, moment by moment, to make sure the event feels unforgettable.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Absolutely. I actually balance two full-time careers — I’m both an actor and a DJ/business owner. As an actor, I’ve been fortunate to work on projects that allow me to tell stories and connect with audiences on screen. On the other side, I run DJ Hustle, a full-service entertainment brand that provides professional DJ services for weddings, corporate events, brand activations, luxury venues, red carpets, and more.
What makes my brand unique is that it’s built on energy, professionalism, and creating experiences people remember long after the event is over. DJ Hustle isn’t just about music — it’s about curating the atmosphere, keeping the dance floor alive, and giving clients peace of mind that every detail will be handled. We also offer enhancements like lighting, uplighting, photo booths, and full event production to elevate any occasion.
Right now, I’m focused on expanding DJ Hustle into even more luxury and corporate markets while continuing to grow in my acting career. Both paths fuel my creativity, and together they allow me to bring passion, energy, and authenticity to everything I do.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Looking back, one of the biggest influences on how I see the world came from my childhood. I was always surrounded by creativity — I acted in school plays, played in the band, and sang in our school choir. To me, the world felt like one big singing group where everyone had a part to play. Those experiences taught me early on about teamwork, rhythm, and the power of bringing people together through performance. That foundation shaped the way I approach both my acting and my DJ career today — it’s all about connection, energy, and making people feel like they’re part of something bigger.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, absolutely. I’ll never forget when I was six years old, riding in the car with my mom on the 405 freeway. I told her, “I want to act and be on TV.” She was so surprised she almost crashed the car. She pulled over to the side of the freeway, and we ended up talking for hours. She really listened to me that day, and instead of brushing it off as a childhood dream, she encouraged me and said, “Go for it.” That moment gave me the confidence to believe in myself and pursue both acting and entertainment as real careers.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I keep my circle very small — I really only have one close friend — and they’d probably say that what matters most to me is getting it right and genuinely loving people. Whether it’s in my career, my relationships, or just everyday life, I put a lot of energy into doing things with integrity and treating people with respect. At the end of the day, success means nothing if you’re not showing love and making others feel valued.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. Could you give everything your best, even if no one ever praised you for it?
Absolutely. As an actor and a DJ, that’s what we’re born to do — to give. The work isn’t about taking or seeking praise; it’s about pouring energy, creativity, and passion into what you do because you love it. Whether there’s an audience of one or a thousand, I always give my best. The reward comes from knowing I’ve created an experience, told a story, or made someone feel something real — not from the applause.
