I generally wake up at 6:00 AM each morning, allowing myself a peaceful start to the day. The initial 15 to 30 minutes are devoted to reviewing the latest news, which helps me stay informed about current events. Following this, I check the day’s work schedules and review client messages, enabling me to mentally prepare for the tasks that lie ahead.
After completing my morning mental preparation, I engage in a comprehensive personal hygiene routine that ensures I feel refreshed and ready. This is complemented by a session of stretching and a light workout, which invigorates my body and mind. Once I have finished exercising, I enjoy a light breakfast to fuel my energy for the day.
I then dedicate the next hour to indulging in my favorite sports, choosing between tennis or pickleball, which adds an element of fun to my morning. To help me unwind and transition into my workday, I take a hot steam shower. This combination of activities prepares me for a productive and fulfilling day ahead.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
BUI Nail Bar & Beauty Lounge is located in the heart of Redondo Beach, California, providing an extensive array of beauty services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clientele. Our specialties encompass eyelash extensions, intricate nail art, permanent makeup, rejuvenating facials, and soothing massages. We have meticulously designed a space that exudes luxury while maintaining a warm and welcoming ambiance, reminiscent of visiting a close friend’s home.
Our salon features a beautifully appointed nail bar that boasts wine and champagne racks, plush full-body massage pedicure chairs, and a carefully curated selection of soothing contemporary music. Guests can also indulge in complimentary chocolates, snacks, and beverages during their visit, enhancing the overall experience. The salon occupies a standalone two-story building, with the lower level dedicated to the nail bar and VIP lounge, while the upper level is reserved for relaxing aesthetic services, including eyelash extensions, facials, massages, and body sculpting treatments.
In addition to our comprehensive service offerings, we pride ourselves on providing a VIP experience that allows clients to enjoy eyelash extensions, nail services, and pedicures simultaneously in a tranquil setting. My mother recognized my potential long before I had the insight to see it myself. At the age of 13, I faced the profound loss of my father, who succumbed to cancer. This tragic event left my mother, Lan Nguyen, with the formidable task of raising four children independently after our immigration to America. She exemplifies beauty, strength, independence, and success, and I credit my journey to her unwavering support and dedication.
Throughout my life, my mother has been an unwavering source of encouragement. She has consistently stood by my side during both the challenging and joyous moments, always prepared to offer her support or to celebrate my achievements. Although I often grapple with self-doubt, particularly when contemplating significant steps in my business, my mother has continually motivated me to embrace opportunities. Her steadfast belief in my capabilities has been instrumental in my pursuit of success. I am profoundly grateful for her influence and hold her in the highest esteem.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
The commitment to my work is unwavering, and I will not entertain the notion of giving up. Surrender is simply not a viable option in my journey. This endeavor transcends mere business; it is a matter of profound significance that I regard as vital to my existence. With over 15 years of dedication invested in building this enterprise, it has become an integral part of my life and identity. I view every challenge as an opportunity to grow and evolve, reinforcing my resolve to persevere and adapt to changing circumstances. Failure is not a possibility that I will accept, and I will continually seek innovative solutions to overcome any setbacks. As long as I remain at the helm, I am confident that this business will not only survive but will continue to flourish through strategic planning and unwavering dedication. My passion and determination will drive its success, ensuring that it thrives for years to come.
