Story & Lesson Highlights with Professor Majïç of Hollywood

Professor Majïç shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.

Professor , so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I try my best to pray every single morning before the sauna, I then run for 45 minutes and shower.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My stage name and trademark is Professor Majïç, I was born in Los Angeles although raised in San Bernardino, CA. I currently reside in Tempe, AZ making me “The Hottest MC in Tempe”. I am signed to Majïç•Musick•Records•LLC and have a distribution deal with ROC Nation. I create original music only, I do not approve of using auto tunes or AI when recording. The Majïç brand represents originality, self improvement, individuality and turning dreams to reality. The label mission statement is “to do more for others than you do for your self, so that we can all live in abundance”. I am currently working on album 3 and store front No.1, working with Tru Med, Latin Affiliated, and primarily You Tube.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
I would like to take this moment in time and space to thank God first and foremost, for blessing me with two hard working parents that instilled faith, honesty and hard work at the very foundation of my work ethic. I have struggled with many things in my life and now consistency being my most difficult obstacle to conquer. I am good at what I do but in order to become G.R.E.A.T, I must stay out of my comfort zone and embrace what God has in store for me every hour/minute of the day.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When I look back on the past 5 years, I can not count how many times I’ve doubted myself, felt insecure, or how many times I felt like stopping. I feel like quitting right now as I answer these questions, but my intuition tells me to keep going. I consider my self a righteous man at heart and I am trying my best to allow God to take full control over my will, my gifts, and my music. That being said, this industry is filled with wickedness, evil and hatred designed for an artist to fail and be taken advantage of. Putting Gid before my own will is the only possible way this business and brand will ever go global.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
“There is no money in music” is a phrase I’ve heard way too often in the music industry that I find ironically hilarious. Why would any one in their right mind start a record label or invest in music catalogs if that were actually the case. Recently major corporations have invested billions in acquiring rights. My research indicates that this business was established very much in the same way prostitution rinks are ran, with the musical artists playing the role of the hoe. I’d prefer spending the time perfectly laying a brick a day until my G.R.E.A.T wall of music is completed.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What will you regret not doing?
The biggest regret I have in my life is not doing more for my family in my youth, adolescents and young adulthood. I have spent too many days and nights satisfying my own desires instead of putting the ones I love first. This year on February 15th, 2025 I lost my twin sister Denise Annette Sanchez and the pain I feel doesn’t get easier to deal with. Everyday I feel like I failed her, like I could have done more to save her life. Not a day passes that I don’t remember my sister and have this obsession to right my wrongs in every way shape and form possible.
