Good morning Oswaldo, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? What battle are you avoiding?
I’m battling a syndrome I was diagnosed with a couple of months ago. It’s called antisynthetase syndrome, and it particularly affects my arthritis and lungs. Fortunately, the disease was detected early.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a 43-year-old Venezuelan, born in Cabimas, Zulia state, and the youngest of five siblings. I had to leave my country due to the current situation. I’ve lived in Mexico for seven years. I’m a mechanical engineer and professional photographer. This blend of ingenuity and creativity fuels my imagination, creating entertaining content with my dancing fingers.
Since I was very young, I’ve had the gift of moving my fingers as if they were legs, and this has allowed me to develop dance skills, allowing me to imitate any musical genre without limits.
During the pandemic, I decided to start a TikTok dedicated entirely to my fingers. Thanks to this creativity, today my account has over 2.8 million followers and over 65 million views.
This opened the doors for me to both international competitions and the opportunity to work with renowned brands like Valentino, Carolina Herrera, Amazon Prime, and Netflix.
A curious thing is that I don’t dance as well as my fingers. People think I’m a professional dancer, and the truth is, my fingers are bigger than my two left feet.
My videos have a lot of reach, especially in Europe, and this year I have been invited to participate in several talent competitions. I already had the opportunity to participate in London, Romania, and Spain last year, and most recently in America’s Got Talent in Los Angeles, and soon to be in Romania’s Got Talent 2025.
I remember once imagining myself participating in a major talent show, but I never thought I’d be stepping onto so many major international stages in such a short period of time for something I perhaps considered insignificant (My Talent).
Artists like Jenifer López, Marck Anthony, and Carlos Baute have posted my videos on their stories, and it’s been incredibly exciting for me.
My most recent success was a commercial I recorded on Netflix Hollywood for the famous series Wednesday with THING (Dedos), where we recreated a dance together to announce the second season. It was a true dream come true.
For me, it’s gratifying to make millions of people around the world laugh with my videos, and that fulfills me more than any award.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
When I was a child I thought I would always be shy and embarrassed. Before I was very introverted, but now I am the complete opposite.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
To my childhood self, I would tell him to enjoy that stage a lot, because it is the most beautiful, not to be afraid, because as an adult he will do great, I wouldn’t change anything, maybe I would hug my siblings a lot more
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends tell me I’m the ANCHOR. I have many friends who don’t get along with each other, and I bring them all together on special occasions. They all say that only I have the power to unite them all. The truth is, I’m very well-liked by my friends.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I’ve asked myself this question before. If I knew I had 10 years left to live, I would stop working so hard and spend more quality time with my family and friends. I would take the trips of my dreams, spend more quality time with my partner. I’ll tell you about him later. He’s a Venezuelan sailor who makes me very happy right now.
I would forgive the people who once hurt me.
I would return to Venezuela for good.
