Good morning Rita, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Outside of work, I’ve been puting a lot of love into creating my handmade Christmas doll ornaments. Designing them feels magical and brings me a lot of joy. At the same time, my biggest source of happiness is being with my family and kids—they truly light up my days.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a special effects makeup artist and artist, working in the film industry alongside creative people and celebrities. I love what I do—it’s a field where every project brings new connections, friendships, and inspiration. At the moment, I’m also working on a Christmas project that’s very close to my heart: creating one-of-a-kind, collectible handmade ornaments. And beyond my work, the most important part of my life right now is my family. I recently welcomed a new baby, and between her and my two older kids, most of my time and joy is centered around them. My family continues to be my greatest source of inspiration.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
I’ve always had a clear sense of who I am. From a young age, I was constantly creating and painting—it was a natural part of me. My work has never been about proving something to others, but rather about pursuing what I genuinely enjoy and find meaningful. Above all, I believe that no matter what you do or who you are, the most important thing is to remain human—with integrity, kindness, and authenticity.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I would tell my younger self: don’t be afraid of anything. Trust yourself, make decisions, and just go for it without overthinking. Don’t hold on to pain—let it go. And don’t hold on to people who don’t want to be next to you; make space for those who truly value and support you. Life becomes much lighter and brighter when you do. And that’s exactly what I eventually did—after a lot of overthinking))
Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would probably say that what really matters to me is staying true to myself. I value their opinions and love having them in my life, but at the end of the day, I always follow what I feel is right for me. No one can know better than I do what I truly need or the path I should take
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
I’ve come to deeply understand the value of every second. I truly love my life, including the challenges I’ve faced and continue to face. I try to take every problem with a smile and not give energy to things that don’t truly matter. When something difficult happens, I always ask myself what lesson life is teaching me, and that perspective helps me move forward with gratitude and strength.
