Today we’d like to introduce you to Sharon Davida LAc.
Hi Sharon, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Israel and had the joy of growing up in a vibrant, carefree 1980s childhood. From a young age, I knew I wanted to dedicate my life to helping others feel better, physically, emotionally and energetically.
After serving as a medic in the Israeli army, I moved to Los Angeles, a city I had grown to love through summer visits to my sister during my teenage years. During my army service, I began studying massage therapy, and once in L.A., I found myself immersed in that world; teaching massage and managing the administration at a massage therapy school. I loved the work, the students, and the connection to healing, but after ten fulfilling years, I began to feel the pull toward something deeper.
One seemingly ordinary afternoon at the Agoura Hills Library with my kids changed everything. I picked up a book called The Fertility Cure, which explored how acupuncture could support fertility. The content resonated deeply. I read the book cover to cover in a single day, self-diagnosed my own imbalances, made lifestyle adjustments based on what I learned, and within three months, I felt better than I had in years… and I was pregnant.
That experience was my turning point. If such a brief introduction to Chinese medicine could make that kind of impact, I could only imagine what a deeper study could offer, not just for me, but for those I felt called to help. With my husband’s full support, I enrolled in acupuncture school and spent the next four years pursuing my dream of supporting people, especially those navigating fertility through holistic, integrative care.
After graduating, I joined Dr. Michael Shore, a chiropractor with a small but thriving practice. Not long after, we co-founded a multi-disciplinary wellness center offering acupuncture, chiropractic care, and massage therapy. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m so grateful to do this work every day.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of helping hundreds of patients manage a wide range of health conditions, always by focusing on the root cause of their imbalance rather than just treating symptoms. But what brings me the deepest sense of fulfillment is walking alongside individuals and couples on their fertility journeys.
There is nothing more exhilarating and joyous than getting that call or text; the one with a picture of a positive pregnancy test or simply the words “We’re pregnant!” and knowing I played a small role in helping make that dream come true.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Pursuing a passion sounds romantic, but in reality, it’s a path that demands deep commitment, long hours, and the courage to grow through discomfort.
For me, going back to school while raising a family was anything but easy. I spent hours each day commuting in L.A. traffic from Agoura Hills to Santa Monica, only to come home and study late into the night – balancing motherhood, relationships, and the intense demands of a rigorous program. It tested my patience, my resilience, and my belief in myself.
There were many moments when I questioned the impact of the time I was missing with my children. The guilt was real. But now, watching how resilient, independent, and grounded they’ve become, I realize that they not only benefited from witnessing their mother pursue and achieve a dream, they also learned what it looks like to persevere. And I couldn’t have done it without my incredible husband, who supported me every step of the way.
Even after graduating, building a practice from the ground up came with its own set of challenges. There were slow seasons, moments of doubt, financial pressure, and the ongoing challenge of balancing personal and professional life. Being in a healing profession also means constantly holding space for others, while learning to manage your own emotions and energy, something that has required me to maintain a consistent practice of self-awareness and inner balance.
But every obstacle has brought growth. I’ve learned that ease doesn’t always come from a smooth path, it comes from trusting that you’re walking the right one. And for me, being able to make a real difference in people’s lives has made every sacrifice more than worth it.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Agoura Wellness Center?
My practice, Agoura Wellness Center, is a holistic haven – a space where healing happens on every level, and where both patients and practitioners feel like part of a supportive, heart-centered family. Our team truly collaborates across disciplines, and that connection shows in the relationships we build. Many of our patients have been with us for years, and we are deeply invested in their long-term well-being.
We treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, hormonal imbalances, immune disorders, injury and post-surgical recovery, as well as stress, anxiety, and so much more. Our approach is always patient-centered and integrative: we treat the whole person, not just the symptoms. That means honoring the connection between the physical and emotional body, and guiding patients to understand how their lifestyle choices affect their overall health.
In addition to acupuncture, chiropractic care, and massage therapy, we offer nutritional guidance and lifestyle recommendations to support lasting healing and true transformation. Our goal is to empower every patient with knowledge and help them become the healthiest, happiest version of themselves.
In my personal practice, I offer acupuncture for virtually every condition you can imagine. I’m often asked, “Do you think acupuncture can help with…?” – and my answer is always a confident yes! I deeply believe the body has an innate desire to return to balance, and my role is to help guide it there. When practitioner and patient work together toward a shared goal, the result can be a profound sense of internal harmony.
Beyond acupuncture, I offer cupping therapy to ease muscle tension, enhance circulation, and support detoxification, as well as Microneedling and Acu Facelift treatments for a naturally rejuvenated, glowing appearance.
Recently, I felt called to step into a new level of leadership and growth. I’ve taken over the management of Agoura Wellness Center, and we’re thrilled to be expanding our team in a beautiful, newly renovated space. It’s an exciting new chapter, and I’m looking forward to continuing to evolve our services and support our community in even more impactful ways.
Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I absolutely wouldn’t be where I am today without the incredible support and inspiration of others. First and foremost, my husband has been my rock. From the moment I decided to go back to school, through every late-night study session, carpool shuffle, and moment of doubt, he was right there believing in me, encouraging me, and helping hold it all together at home. His unwavering support gave me the space and freedom to truly pursue my passion.
My children have also played a profound role in my journey. They were young when I started school, and I often worried about the time I missed. But they became my biggest cheerleaders; resilient, extremely understanding, and proud. Watching them grow into confident, grounded, self-driven individuals has been one of the most rewarding confirmations that I made the right choices.
Professionally, I’ve been lucky to work alongside some incredible mentors and colleagues. Early on, Dr. Michael Shore welcomed me into his chiropractic practice, and together we laid the foundation for what would eventually become Agoura Wellness Center. His trust in my vision and collaboration helped shape the integrative model we still follow today.
I’m also endlessly grateful for my team. Our practitioners and support staff who bring heart, skill, and integrity to the clinic every day. We function as a family, and that sense of trust and mutual respect translates directly into the care we provide.
And of course, I can’t thank my patients enough. So many of them have stayed with me for years, referred loved ones, and allowed me into some of the most personal and vulnerable chapters of their lives. Their trust is a gift I never take for granted, and their healing journeys continue to inspire and teach me every day.
