Today we’d like to introduce you to Terri Miles.
Hi Terri, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Since 2011, I’ve been on an intentional spiritual journey, deepening my connection to Spirit and embracing the teachings that resonate most with me. In 2016, I became licensed as a Spiritual Practitioner through Agape International Spiritual Center in Los Angeles, a milestone that allowed me to integrate the principles I embody into my work with others. It is my honor to support clients in developing and expanding their spiritual lives through the new thought ageless wisdom taught at Agape as well as through A Course in Miracles, lovingly known as the Course—a non-dualistic, self-study teaching that fosters inner peace.
Teaching and sharing have been passions of mine since childhood, and guiding others through spiritual growth feels like a natural extension of my purpose. I was introduced to the Course in 2014, and after graduating from the Professional Spiritual Practitioner Program at Agape in 2016, I began offering Spiritual Counseling Sessions—supporting individuals as they navigate change by trusting Spirit’s guidance. As a trained and licensed Spiritual Practitioner, I facilitate growth and expansion through the tenets of A Course in Miracles, a practice I live by daily. I like to say that no matter what you may be moving through, growing through, or flowing through or even celebrating, I am here to support YOU!
I lead several weekly group gatherings where the Course is read, discussed, and applied to everyday life—welcoming participants both in person and on Zoom. In addition, I am currently a regular guest speaker at Unity of the Westside Church in Culver City, where I share Truth Talks based on the Course’s teachings. I also serve on a rotational basis, leading prayer and meditation on Agape’s Facebook Live platform, connecting with people from all around the world. My journey has been deeply rooted in spiritual practice, and in a moment of playful inspiration, I coined the term “grooted”—a reflection of feeling both grounded and rooted in my Spiritual practices and faith.
I have embraced creativity as an essential part of my spiritual journey. Several years ago, I discovered my love for painting, particularly working with colors and patterns—many of which take the form of mandalas – circular designs filled with and symbols that represent balance, harmony, and unity. Many cultures use mandalas in art, meditation, and spirituality to encourage focus and inner peace. I also enjoy whimsical explorations of nature and different creative expressions. Currently, I’m working on a book that merges my art with journaling prompts and daily inquiries inspired by A Course in Miracles—a project that bridges reflection, creativity, and personal growth. Stay tuned!
At the heart of it all is my love for self and my family. I love spending time with my husband, Albert, and our adult sons, Armon and Micah—cherishing the love, laughter, and connection that shape our lives.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Has this been a smooth road? I’d say that while there have certainly been challenges, my spiritual practices—prayer, meditation, and the support of my family and community—have been the foundation that has helped me navigate and transform obstacles into opportunities for growth.
Like any journey of deep personal and spiritual development, there have been moments of doubt, uncertainty, and the discomfort that comes with stepping into fresh versions of myself. There have been times when fear of change and the unknown tested my trust in Spirit, but in those moments, I leaned into my practices. A Course in Miracles teaches that every challenge can be seen through the lens of love rather than fear, and this has guided me through some of life’s tougher moments.
One of the greatest lessons has been fully trusting that Spirit is leading me exactly where I need to be, even when the path ahead isn’t clear. As I’ve supported others in their spiritual expansion, I’ve learned that we are all faced with moments where doubt tries to overshadow trust. But trust, when nurtured, always finds a way to shine through.
Someone once told me my voice was annoying and for a while I internalized that false belief. It became a personal challenge to embrace my own voice and step fully into leadership. Teaching and guiding others has always come naturally, but truly owning my role in the spiritual space requires deep inner work—releasing self-imposed limitations and allowing my authentic self to be fully seen and heard.
Through this journey, I’ve realized that vulnerability is not a weakness but a gateway to authenticity and connection. I accept and appreciate that my voice is powerful, and I fully embrace that truth. It is not just okay to use my voice as strength—it is essential. I now see it as a force for growth, transformation, and meaningful impact.
Even in moments of difficulty, I know that I am held by something greater than myself. My journey has taught me that struggles don’t have to define us; they can refine us. And through that refinement, we step into the fullness of who we are meant to be.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is rooted in spiritual growth, healing, and transformation. As a licensed Spiritual Practitioner, I use a combination of my skills, deep trust in Spirit, and the teachings of A Course in Miracles to support individuals on their journey. Through Course study groups and one-on-one Spiritual Counseling Sessions, I support individuals in strengthening their spiritual connection, embracing their inner guidance, and cultivating a life of greater peace and self-awareness. The principles of the Course—including forgiveness, acceptance, and seeing with love—are central to my approach, helping individuals release limiting beliefs and align more fully with Spirit. Navigating change through trust in Spirit is the foundation of my personal daily practice, and it is my honor to walk alongside others as they expand and deepen their spiritual lives through these teachings.
I am known for creating welcoming, non-judgmental, and accessible spaces where people can explore their spiritual journey, engage with the wisdom of the Course, and share what’s on their hearts in an authentic way. Through weekly group gatherings—where we read, discuss, and integrate the Course’s teachings—or through personalized counseling sessions, my intention is to support individuals as they embrace Spirit’s guidance, release limiting beliefs, and nurture inner peace.
I don’t see myself as separate or set apart because, at our core, we are all love. My connection to the Course isn’t just intellectual—it’s something I live and breathe every day. I practice its teachings, embody them, and guide others as they weave them into their own lives. Spirituality isn’t just something I talk about—it’s how I move through the world. My approach is grounded and direct, yet compassionate—intuitive yet practical—creating a space where people can engage with these principles in ways that lead to transformation.
One of the things I’m most proud of is witnessing the profound shifts that happen when individuals deepen their understanding of themselves—through spiritual principles, the Course, and their own practices. Supporting individuals as they navigate change, release fear, and find peace is an incredible honor, and I am deeply grateful to walk alongside them on their journey.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
I love the robust selection of eateries in my city of Gardena and the greater Los Angeles area. From the neighborhood, relaxed atmosphere to the upscale fancy ones! I love them!
What I like least is the traffic. I don’t get upset about the traffic, I learned to just build it into my travel time.
Another thing I least like is that there are so many people that are unhoused. While I know we each have our own journeys and I don’t know all the circumstances, I am grateful that more efforts are being made to support housing the unhoused.
