Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a talent agency came with its fair share of challenges. In the beginning, there was little to no guidance—no one was willing to offer advice on how to get started. I vividly remember the moment I got licensed; I was eager to learn how to book talent but couldn’t find any real resources.
Eventually, one of my favorite directors gave me a piece of advice that changed everything: “You have to network. You’re an amazing person—get out there and rub elbows. It’s not what you know, it’s who you know.” That insight stuck with me and became a guiding principle in all my ventures. Building genuine relationships has taken me further than I could’ve imagined.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What do I do?
That’s a great question! At Creative Talent Artist, I represent and book children for opportunities in TV, film, print, runway, music videos, and live performances. My agency is dedicated to helping young talent break into the entertainment industry, starting right where they are.
At Filters by Naomi, I’ve transformed my advocacy for autism into a meaningful brand that raises awareness through fashion and beauty. It’s a creative platform with a powerful message, blending style with purpose.
Both of my companies focus exclusively on children, and together they work hand in hand to create pathways for kids from all walks of life to access opportunities in entertainment. I’m proud to have built businesses that not only open doors but also protect and empower the kids we serve.
What sets me apart from other agencies is my heart. I’m a mom first. I deeply care about the kids I represent—I’m their go-to person. I refuse to let my clients be taken advantage of, and I won’t hesitate to walk away from any production that puts a child at risk.
Beyond bookings, I also teach financial literacy to ensure my kids understand the value of money and how to manage it. Having managed my own son for 15 years, I’ve seen the good and bad in this industry—and I’ve made it my mission to protect and educate the families I work with.
What I’m most proud of is the loyalty and trust that’s grown over the years. Many of the kids and parents I’ve worked with have been with me for over five years—and seeing those children go from auditions to the big screen has been one of the greatest rewards of all.
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I couldn’t do any of this without the unwavering support of my husband, mom, and son. They are my foundation, my biggest cheerleaders, and my constant source of strength. No matter what, they stand by me—and their love and support mean everything.
Another one of my supporters and advocates has been Ms. Candyce Bruce. She not only believed in me from the very beginning but also played a vital role in helping me build both of my companies. With her expertise in autism, she guided me through many of the challenges I faced and helped me gain a deeper understanding of the community I serve.
I’ve also been fortunate to have some incredible friends in this industry who offered guidance, encouragement, and wisdom along the way. Their support has been instrumental in helping me achieve the success I’m proud of today.
