Community Highlights: Meet Tiffany Lerman of Laki Naturals

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Lerman.

Hi Tiffany, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I was born in London but moved to Los Angeles in the 1980s when my mother, the late best-selling author, Jackie Collins, came here to pursue her career, and I’ve loved calling LA home ever since. My first business started right after university, making t-shirts out of my parents’ garage. My first big break came when Fred Segal placed an order, and just like that, I was in business. I’ve had several ventures since then, including Tiny Tillia, a children’s bath and body brand that I eventually sold to Avon. I started Laki Naturals as a tribute to my mother and her nightly bath ritual, a simple but powerful act of self-care that she never skipped, no matter how busy life became. That moment of calm she created for herself inspired me to help others find their own.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like most entrepreneurial paths, it’s had its fair share of bumps. There have been moments of incredible growth, and moments of doubt. I’ve launched products that took off and others that didn’t land the way I hoped. Managing production, marketing, and evolving with a constantly changing retail landscape (especially in wellness) can be challenging. But I’ve learned to stay flexible, keep listening to my customers, and trust my instincts. The key is to keep showing up – especially when things get hard.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
My business is called Laki Naturals. We make all-natural self-care products that are simple, clean, and easy to use. The brand consists of wellness patches, herbal teas, bath soaks, calming lozenges and more. Everything is made in small batches in the USA, with carefully chosen ingredients, and we stay away from artificial ingredients, parabens, phthalates or anything unnecessary.

What makes us different is that our products are made to fit into everyday life. Whether you’re having a busy day, traveling on a flight, winding down at night, or just taking a quiet moment to yourself, Laki is there to help you slow down and feel a little more calm – without overcomplicating it.

What I’m most proud of is that I get to be creative every day and do what I love. There’s something really special about making things that help people feel calmer and more balanced.

Do you have any advice for those looking to network or find a mentor?
I’ve found that the best mentors and connections come from simply staying curious and open. Some of my most valuable relationships started with a casual conversation or asking someone about their story. I also believe in giving before you ask – support others, share what you’ve learned, and you’ll naturally build a network that’s meaningful and reciprocal. Don’t wait for the “perfect” mentor- sometimes the best insights come from unexpected places.
