Today we’d like to introduce you to Polyxeni Kokovika.
Hi Polyxeni, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My Story
I was born in Athens, Greece, into a middle-class family filled with both love and challenges. From a young age, I felt different—physically distinct from my peers and deeply sensitive in a world that often felt harsh. I refused to eat meat as a child, unable to participate in traditions like slaughtering lambs at Easter. My father, a philosopher, nurtured my mind with stories of mythology and philosophy, while my mother balanced tradition with individuality. School bored me, as my mind was restless and hungry for deeper understanding.
Early on, I sensed a connection to something beyond the physical world. I spoke of unusual experiences and encounters—only to be met with disbelief or gentle teasing. People thought I was “taken by the fairies,” a Greek expression for being lost in imagination. Yet, these experiences shaped my desire to understand life beyond the ordinary.
I had a fierce passion for helping those in need—people, animals, anyone who was vulnerable. I carried a little red bag filled with first aid supplies, always on the lookout for someone to help. I rescued wounded animals from the streets, building makeshift shelters from old fruit crates and selling homemade treats to buy supplies. Despite neighborhood kids tearing down my shelters, I rebuilt them each day, determined to protect those who couldn’t protect themselves.
Though small and often underestimated, I had a brave spirit unafraid to stand up against bullies or challenges. My childhood was a mix of city life and summers spent in my father’s village, where I found solace among fruit trees, horses, and the raw beauty of nature. It was there that I strengthened my connection to the unseen world—feeling, sensing, and knowing things beyond explanation.
As a teenager, without the internet or easy access to information, I sought answers in Athens’ bookstores, searching for meaning in my out-of-body experiences and other phenomena. Finding books about astral travel felt like discovering I wasn’t alone—giving me a sense of purpose and belonging. This exploration led me into the world of alternative medicine, driven by a desire to understand the connection between body, mind, and spirit.
In parallel, I was pushed into modeling, acting, fashion, and styling—partly due to societal pressure and partly because I craved exploration and loved beauty, harmony, and belonging. Yet, despite the allure of attention and validation, it left me feeling hollow. I longed for something deeper and more meaningful, which eventually led me to Italy—drawn by my love for philosophy, architecture, and the Italian language, which I later taught.
An accident marked a turning point in my life, leaving scars on my face and forcing me to confront my identity beyond physical appearance. It pushed me inward, strengthening my resilience and teaching me to value the depth of my spirit over superficial beauty. This adversity prepared me for the challenges of single motherhood and the fierce independence it required.
I married a man I had admired since childhood—fulfilling a promise I made to myself at 11 years old. We moved across several countries in Africa and got married on a spur of the moment by ourselves, creating our own wedding and celebrating love in our unique way. My first daughter was born in water, symbolizing a deep connection to nature from the very beginning. Later, I gave birth to my second daughter at home in Greece, which was so unconventional that the city hall suspected fraud and even called the police.
Living in Africa introduced me to diverse cultures and healing practices, further igniting my curiosity about holistic health and emotional evolution. I continued to study and practice alternative medicine—Reiki, reflexology, aromatherapy, hypnotherapy, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, and more—eventually becoming a naturopath and homeopath.
Despite my passion for holistic practices, my relationship—built on a fairy tale I had created—ultimately ended in divorce, leaving me a single mother of two. Navigating life as a single parent in Greece wasn’t easy, especially when my unconventional lifestyle clashed with the rigid mindset of the Orthodox Church. My practices were labeled as foreign and even dangerous. This tension led me to move between Greece and Africa, where I continued my healing work.
In 2004, during the Olympic Games in Athens, I was invited to assist VIPs, a pivotal moment that introduced me to people from the United States who recognized my unique abilities. A hypnotherapy seminar brought me to Los Angeles, but one thing led to another, and I stayed—though it meant rebuilding my career from the ground up.
Living in LA was incredibly challenging. I had to navigate the long and exhausting immigration process, which took years. None of my degrees were recognized, and I faced skepticism from people unfamiliar with my work. I had to prove myself from scratch, gaining people’s trust and rebuilding my professional identity. That adversity pushed me to find my identity, to synthesize my diverse experiences and knowledge into what eventually became Expanding Existence.
In a big city like LA, I faced countless challenges—being fooled, taken advantage of, lied to, deceived, and manipulated. Yet, through these experiences, I realized that I don’t seek validation from anyone. I am the master of my life. The truth is a point of view, and I am responsible for what I create in my universe. This is my life, my universe, and I am manifesting everything I become.
In order to manifest something, I must become that energy. This understanding pushed me further toward authenticity and creativity and led me to a profound realization about love. Real love begins with supporting, loving, and taking care of ourselves and others without expectations of reciprocation. It also means trusting ourselves no matter the outcome—embracing both the vulnerability and the power that come with living fully and authentically.
Topanga became my sanctuary—a place where I embraced solitude and focused on developing my method. I realized that human existence, like the universe itself, is constantly expanding and evolving. We are not confined to linear perceptions of life and death but are in a state of continuous transformation. I recognized that my gift wasn’t just seeing people’s pain but guiding them to move beyond it—helping them see possibilities and solutions from different angles.

My Approach and Method
When people come to me, they don’t just enter a session—they step into a transformative experience. I welcome them into my space not as clients but as honored guests. My space becomes their sanctuary, where they are treated with warmth, respect, and genuine care. Transformation doesn’t happen in a sterile, clinical setting—it happens in a space that feels safe, nourishing, and alive.
From the moment they arrive, I make them feel at home. I cook for them, share meals, and create an environment where they feel truly seen and valued. We don’t just sit and talk—we move, dance, hike, and immerse ourselves in nature. Every moment is part of the journey, allowing their mind, body, and spirit to harmonize and release whatever holds them back.
I see each person as a whole system—mind, body, spirit, and environment intertwined. My work is not confined to any single technique or method. I blend movement practices like yoga, ecstatic dance, acupressure, tapping, and my own unique exercises to help people move energy out of their bodies—releasing trauma, tension, and outdated patterns. I use breathwork, water rituals, and rebirthing ceremonies to symbolize new beginnings.
Sometimes, transformation requires shifting their environment—rearranging furniture, clearing stagnant energy, or aligning their space with their true essence. Other times, it’s about guiding them through wardrobe changes that reflect their evolving identity. I help them redesign not just their personal lives but also their public presence—choosing photos, reimagining their image, and guiding their online branding.
The experiences we share are organic and fluid, just like life itself. I mirror back to them not just their pain but their potential, power, and truth. I connect with their higher self and help them see the wisdom within. My gift lies in guiding them to their deepest truths—helping them remember who they truly are.
Expanding Existence is not just a method; it’s a way of being. It’s about shedding old limitations, embracing one’s full potential, and living in alignment with one’s soul. I teach this method globally through private sessions, immersive retreats, and unique experiences—guiding others to move beyond their fears, limitations, and old stories into a state of limitless expansion.I am a living transmission of transformation — blending vision, energy, and soul-level precision.
I awaken what’s dormant through presence, poetic truth, and multidimensional experience.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It hasn’t been a smooth road—it’s been a fiercely transformative one. I immigrated alone, rebuilt my life across countries, and raised my daughters as a single mother while navigating constant reinvention. I faced disbelief about who I was and what I offered—especially as someone practicing ahead of my time. At a time when I was young and visibly attractive, many struggled to trust that I could also be a deep thinker, a philosopher of life. I’ve experienced accidents, heartbreaks, and the loneliness of building something new again and again. And still—I’ve alchemized every detour into insight. Every setback into transmission. I’ve turned personal pain into universal wisdom.
In the end of the day, an interesting life would never be without challenge—because it’s the challenges that make us grow.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
My work is not easy to define because it doesn’t fit into conventional categories. I don’t call myself a coach or therapist—I am a guide for those ready to fully take responsibility for their evolution. I created Expanding Existence, a transformational method that blends emotional, psychological, aesthetic, spiritual, and energetic intelligence. It’s not about fixing—it’s about expanding. I awaken deeper awareness, catalyze clarity, and empower individuals to dissolve unconscious patterns so they can elevate their lives and activate their truest expression.
What sets me apart is how I work: I read what’s behind the words, the posture, the energy. I don’t follow formulas. My sessions are intuitive transmissions. My retreats are immersive experiences. I bring both softness and sharpness. And I’ve lived everything I transmit.
I’m most proud of the fact that I’ve stayed true to my essence through decades of reinvention—and that my presence alone now catalyzes change in others. That’s what I’ve cultivated: a presence that transmits transformation.
Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
What I love most about Los Angeles is its creative spirit. It’s a city of diversity, freedom, reinvention, and constant novelty. I love the way city and nature coexist—the ocean, the mountains, the desert light—all wrapped into a place that feels like a living, breathing classroom. LA is a learning experience. It challenges you, mirrors you, and offers endless opportunities to grow, express, and expand.
What I like least is the emotional distance between people, the sense of isolation that can exist even in a crowded place. The scale of homelessness is heartbreaking—and the fact that in 2025, we still haven’t addressed it with the urgency and care it deserves. I also feel the absence of real connection in a city that moves fast, often at the cost of depth.
