Today we’d like to introduce you to Mullah Mugzie.
Hi Mullah, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I’ve always been a creative since a kid, drawing and keeping myself busy with something artistic. I’ve also always had a lot knowledgable and interest in computers and tech. I picked up a camera about 7 years ago, freelanced videography and photography for about 5/6 years gaining a lot of knowledge of cameras, filming and creating videos. I filmed some commercials for local brands, a lot of music videos and decided to transition into creating my own content about 2 years ago in 2023. I used all the knowledge I gained through the years about cameras and tech to creative content you can learn from.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Things have not always been smooth- as an independent freelancer I dealt with the challenges of sustaining as a creator, working for less or free sometimes simply to build a reputation. I’v experienced quitting a full time job to work for myself, enter back in to the workforce while still running a business, then exiting again. I’m experienced the ups and downs of being a creator
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I create educational videos for filmmaking, photo and tech. I try to take a different approach creating a story with a cinematic feel. I’m known for everything camera related, tech and tutorials for aspiring video creators. I’m most proud knowing how many people I’ve taught or motivated!
What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Persistance, consistency, drive and self motivation!
